LaRoche brothers teammates, at last


The LaRoche brothers will play as teammates for the first time tonight when the Pirates play host to the Reds (53-68) at 7:05 p.m. at PNC Park. First baseman Adam LaRoche, activated from the 15-day disabled list before the game, will bat clean-up. His younger brother of four years, third baseman Andy LaRoche, will bat fifth.

Shortstop Jack Wilson also is playing after missing the past six starts with tendinitis in his shoulder, while catcher Ryan Doumit was given the night off. Reds right-hander Johnny Cueto (7-11, 5.01 ERA) will meet Ian Snell (4-9, 6.06 ERA). Snell has two wins in his past 20 starts dating to mid-April.
