Iwamura back in lineup

Manager John Russell watched the tail end of Aki Iwamura’s workout on the field at PNC Park, then chatted briefly with the second baseman. As Russell walked into the tunnel leading back to the clubhouse, he gave a quick nod — an affirmation that Iwamura is ready to return to the lineup.

Weather conditions will be a concern, as some rain is supposed to move in about 90 minutes before first pitch and things could be off-and-on drizzly all night. If Iwamura becomes too concerned about losing his footing, which would threaten his tender hamstring, he could make an early exit.
