Crosby expected to play tonight in “Ultimate Home Game”

Just a few quick hits from the Penguins’ AM practices:

• HC DAN BYLSMAsaid C SIDNEY CROSBY will play tonight against Columbus at Consol Energy Center. Crosby did not finish an exhibition game Wednesday night because of a sore hip. He said today that the hip was feeling much better.

• Bylsma’s son’s youth team, the Arctic Foxes, will be among the many youth clubs in attendance for this game, for which the Penguins and have teamed with local group Imagine Pittsburgh to provide free tickets to regional students. Ticktets for 5,000 area youth players and 8,000 students were distrubuted for the “Ultimate Fan Game,” according to information provided by the Penguins.

• The Penguins will have completed half of their exhibition schedule after this game. Columbus will have six remaining preseason games after this game, or as many as the Penguins are scheduled to play.

In 2013, he teamed with Carl Prine for an investigative piece about athletes' charities what was honored regionally. A graduate of West Virginia University and Keystone Oaks High School, Rossi was raised in Crafton and Green Tree and currently resides in Brookline.
