New-look lines for Pens amid AHL recalls.

Since the Penguins have recalled four players from the AHL, perhaps a look at the line rushes from this AM practice is worth a short blog update:

Pascal Dupuis-Jordan Staal-Tyler Kennedy

Mike Rupp-Max Talbot-Chis Conner

Ryan Craig-Joe Vitale-Craig Adams

Brett Sterling-Dustin Jeffrey-Eric Godard/Nick Johnson

= About that last night, if Johnson gets the call over Godard, shall we call it the “Baby Line”?

= Vitale would be making his NHL debut. He is a prospect that Tom Fitzgerald, the Penguins assistant to the general manager, has raved about in the past.

= Sterling has arguably been one of the Baby Penguin’s best players, recording 18 goals, 39 point and a plus-12 rating.

= Johnson is the Baby Penguins’ leader in goals, 20, with 10 on the power play. In past recalls to the NHL he has generally impressed.

= Ryan Craig is a tested veteran, so this stage won’t be too big for him.
