Crosby cautiously optimistic, will see doctor on Tuesday.

A quick update to get you through the night. Well, whatever does that, anyway…

= C Sidney Crosby (broken jaw) practiced on Monday, but did not take part in line rushes. His status (out indefinitely) has not changed, but Crosby suggested that he is cautiously optimistic he could play in Game 1 on Wednesday. = D Brooks Orpik (lower body, undisclosed) did not practice, but he did have an on-ice workout before the Monday practice. His status is day-to-day.

= C Joe Vitale (lower body, undisclosed) did practice on Monday.

Game 1, pregame show begins at 6:30 p.m.

Game 2, pregame show begins at 6 p.m.

Game 4, pregame show begins at 6 p.m.

Game 5, if necessary, pregame show begins at 6 p.m.
