Aftermath: Bennett in for Neal at practice.

A quick update for the Dear Readers on this oh-so-important Friday for the Pirates…

Oh, wait, this is the spot on TribLive reserved for the Penguins. Our bad. (Go Bucs all the same.)

= News n’At

RW James Neal (upper body injury) is not at practice for the Penguins. Neal left the opener – a 3-0 win over New Jersey on Thursday – and did not return. He had not practiced since Monday with an upper-body injury.

With Neal out, Beau Bennett is working the right side with Geno’s Guys.

Speaking of practice lines…

Sid’s Soliders: Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis

Geno’s Guys: Jokinen-Malkin-Bennett

Third line: Kobasew-Sutter-Jeffrey

Fourth line: Glass-Vitale-Adams

And to set the defense…

Engelland (extra)

“Yeah, I can definitely score 82.”

–      Adams, on his current goals pace

Buffalo visits Consol Energy Center on Saturday night (7 p.m.) – the return of the once standard Hockey Night in Pittsburgh. (OK, so there was never an official name, but it was cool when Saturday night games were a way of life in this city. Sadly, the Penguins are such a draw that the NHL sends them on the road most Saturday nights.)
