Pitt moved up two spots to No. 4 in the Associated Press Top 25 released Monday. The Panthers (21-2) trail No. 1 Connecticut (22-1), Oklahoma (23-1) and North Carolina (21-2). Connecticut received 67 of a possible 72 first-place votes. Other Big East teams in the poll are No. 5 Louisville, No. 10 Marquette, No. 13 Villanova and No. 23 Syracuse. For the first time this season, Notre Dame, riding a seven-game losing streak for its longest skid since 1992-93, and Georgetown, losers of six of its past seven, didn’t receive a single vote. Robert Morris, on the other hand, did receive a vote (from John Feinstein).
