Blair, Young named Sporting News All-Americans
Pitt’s DeJuan Blair and Sam Young were named to the Sporting News magazine’s All-America teams in the magazine’s March 16 issue.
Blair, one of four players on the cover of the magazine, was named first-team and Young received third-team honors.
The other members of the first team are Player of the Year Blake Griffin of Oklahoma, Stephen Curry of Davidson, Tyler Hansbrough of North Carolina and James Harden of Arizona State. Bill Self of Kansas was named Coach of the Year.
