Pitt senior quarterback Bill Stull has been named a semfinalist for the Davey O’Brien national quarterback award.
Stull, who ranks third in the nation with a 161.09 pass efficiency rating, is one of 15 semifinalists chosen by the Davey O’Brien selection committee, which is made up of journalists, broadcasters and former winners.
The three finalists will be announced Nov. 23. The winner will be announced Dec. 10 on ESPN.
Stull, who has led No. 16 Pitt (7-1, 4-0 Big East) to its best start since 1982, has completed 132 of 196 pass attempts for 1,654 yards, 16 touchdown and four interceptions.
Last week Stull was named to the midseason watch list for the Manning Award, presented annually to the nation’s most outstanding quarterback.
