The Pitt men’s basketball team, coming off back-to-back losses to Georgetown and Seton Hall, dropped to No. 17 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, released Monday afternoon.
Pitt (15-4, 5-2 Big East) was ranked No. 9 last week before losing two in a row for the first time in nearly two years. Pitt, which plays host to St. John’s (12-7, 2-5) on Thursday, is also No. 17 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches’ poll.
