Romeus in pads, expected to play

Senior defensive end Greg Romeus is in pads on the field during pre-game warm-ups and is expected to play tonight against Connecticut. Romeus, who missed the past seven games following back surgery and was listed as questionable on this week’s injury report, practiced all week. He was on the field about an hour before the 7:30 p.m. kickoff – sans shoulder pads – working on his pass rush from the right end. Brandon Lindsey is expected to start, with Romeus seeing some action as he works back into the starting lineup.
