Pitt No. 5 in latest AP poll

Pitt (13-1, 1-0 Big East) is No. 5 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll, moving up one spot after the Dec. 27 win over then No. 4 Connecticut. Duke remained No. 1, followed by Ohio State, Kansas and Syracuse. There are seven Big East teams in the poll, as Cincinnati (14-0) moved into the rankings at No. 24.  Pitt also is No. 5 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches’ poll.
