Playing in their final collegiate basketball game, center Gary McGhee scored 10 points and grabbed a team-high 18 rebounds and guard Brad Wanamaker added 11 points, but the East fell to the West, 113-108, in the Reese’s College All-Star game at Reliant Stadium on Friday in Houston.
McGhee was 5 for 5 from the field, while Wanamaker went 5 for 7. Both players came off the bench for the East all-stars, which shot a combined 10 for 34 from 3-point range. Austin Freeman of Georgetown was 10 for 16 from the field and scored a team-high 21 points.
Andrew Goudelock from the College of Charleston had 21 points and Morehead State’s Kenneth Faried had 17 points and 18 rebounds to lead the West.
