Toby’s Corner out of Derby

Toby’s Corner, the Wood Memorial winner, was declared out of the 137th Kentucky Derby on Tuesday morning by trainer Graham Motion.

The son of Bellamy Road, who figured to be one of the favorites, was scheduled to ship on Tuesday from his training base in Fair Hill, Md. He did not make the trip after suffering an unspecified injury.

The defection allows Derby Kitten to become the 20th horse into the Derby field. The deadline to enter is 10 a.m. on Wednesday. The post draw is 5 p.m.
