Gilbert Brown and the Oliver Baskets Wurzburg basketball team have agreed to dissolve the contract of the former Pitt wing, according to the German club. The 6-f00t-6 Brown, who signed with the European team this summer, was averaging 4.3 points and 1.8 assists. He played only sparingly, averaging 12 minutes per game.
Brown is reportedly back in the U.S. and awaiting an end to the NBA lockout. He received interest from the Boston Celtics as a free agent after going unpicked in the draft.
