Can we start the Josh Bell countdown to Pittsburgh?
Wow. What an impressive looking dude. Mature. More like 25 than 19.
So I will be watching the game tonight on the horribly mis-named ESPN America (as it is for audiences outside America). But it is hard to be optimistic about the home team’s chances with this synopsis on ESPN’s programming schedule:
MLB
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh
Brandon Phillips and the Reds visit PNC Park to take on Brandon Wood and the Pirates in this NL Central contest.
Duration : 180 mins
DK: That’s beautiful. Would love to have had a screen grab of that.
Tony Watson called up to take Morton’s spot. Guess another move will be made when they need another starter unless they plan to use Lincoln. Still need another with a doubleheader Monday.
Glad we got Dick Stockton.
Better voice than Joe Buck.
ESPN America really thinks Brandon Wood is the face of the pirates?
Presley had 4 hits last night at Indy. Is he up yet?
I saw Willis pitch for Louisville here in Norfolk earlier this season. He pitched alright, but it sure was neat seeing him in action that close.
We’re getting MIL-NYM here in Jax…….Just finished watching last night’s game I DVR’ed……tough to stomach…..
I hate bunting Walker with 2 on and no outs mid game. It isn’t like we have murderers row behind him. Why give up your second best hitter for Brandon Wood, Cedeno, and Mckenry? Hurdle may inspire and communicate but can we lock him in the clubhouse during games?
Can we ever hold a lead anymore? Too many times now, we keep letting the other team back in it. Too many close games all year.
Hanrahan looked great, good winand good for morale. (team and this blog)
@pghboy. I was thinking the same thing about bunting Walker. Turns out that was his only hitless at bat.
@matmoksik Of course ESPN doesn’t think Brandon Wood is the face of the Pirates. They just wanted to be “clever” and highlight a Brandon vs Brandon matchup.
I’m truly shocked…..just twelve (now thirteen) posts. Guess a busy Saturday night in the Burgh. Sunday afternoon here. Good Win……
You knew they couldn’t hold the lead.
