  1. JAL says:

Pirates have started pitchers with 9 wins 11 times since early August and they 8 losses and 3 no decisions. 2 of the no decisions were wins for team–the no decision loss was August 14 when Morton went 7.1 innings giving up 1 run but Pirates lost 2-1 in 10 to the Brewers.

DK: That’s amazing. Hadn’t realized that. Only Correia broke through.

  2. Bizrow says:

That stuff is interesting, but IMHO, the only number I know is 19

Haven’t heard Tommy John so far, that is good news

  3. Bizrow says:

I know its not baseball, but if the Stillers lose tomorrow, I’m thinking life as we know it in the Burgh will cease to exist, Primanit’s will get sucked into the sky, All Starbucks will close, all the bridges will fall into the river, the only safe place will be the bunker in 115 Federal Street.

  4. JAL says:

    Biz

Don’t believe that–you mean you don’t know Dr. Hook’s Only 16 or the Crests 16 Candles, Zager and Evans In the Year 2525, or Orwell’s 1984 etc, etc

  5. JMB says:

Ugly game right in front of my very own eyes. Bluck!

  6. Dave G in Mason, OH says:

Looks like another double digit strikeout night.

  7. Dave G in Mason, OH says:

(Ringing cowbell) Bucs run another ’10K’ marathon of misery

  8. Dave G in Mason, OH says:

d’Arnauld and Alvarez neck and neck @ .194… coming down to the wire…

  9. Dave G in Mason, OH says:

They need to take BP with wiffle balls to improve their swings.

  10. Dave G in Mason, OH says:

The Pirates are now just one game in front of the Cubs in the standings

  11. twentytwo22 says:

If the Pirates finish below the Cubs you can make a good case for them being the worst team in the National League. They are 0-6 versus Florida, 1-5 since Houston reshaped their roster and 0-3 at home against the Padres.
