The last time a Pittsburgh game felt this hopeless, the Pirates were in Milwaukee…
Even against the Mild ?
Even with all that time on the 1st power play unit & skating regular shift in a top 6 role, Steve Sullivan has mustered a grand total of 2 assists. Wow.
No score after one period of “action’.
geezus, 10 seconds after I post that, Kunitz scores on slap shot setup by Dupuis.
1-0 Pens
Cal Clutterbuck scores SH goal because of some terrible puck management by Paul Martin. 2-1 Pens.
Amazing Staal scored to make it 2-0 with little skill, just whacked loose puck.
Strait’s arm looked like it was in a bad position when he got hit. It looks like the Pens injury bug has struck again. I bet something is either dislocated or broken. What a shame for Strait. First game in the NHL this season after apparently dominating in the AHL.
Pens are playing like a team missing 6 regulars….
Have we mentioned yet that they’re tired ?
Mr. October strikes again.
Hopefully Neal can keep this going, if so, he’ll score 40 goals.
Minnesota plays an aggressive game, borderline with their hits. I’ve seen some legs sticking out on hits that haven’t been mentioned on tv broadcast.
good road win for Pens after a weak showing last night in Winnipeg.
What a great effort under the circumstances. Funny how they don’t look so tired when they play well, isn’t it ?
Eric,
I see you stopped short of calling the Mild dirty. Good thing because Todd Graham would have been very upset with you.
