That “undisclosed injury” thing. It’s why you can never take them seriously when it comes to injuries, because they refuse to tell the truth.
The key to this game is how do the top 4 defensemen hold up in the 3rd period. Despres & Picard have only played about 7 minutes while the top 4 have logged 15 minutes. Niskanen had played 16:20 thru 2 periods.
Milo, that you have ice time down to minutes is a tribute to you. Magnificent coverage. I watch by feel. I feel now that the great save when the Pens were on the PP and that post by Malkin spell doom. I dearly hope I’m wrong.

Last thought. Maybe Pens come back in last four minutes. But today, I saw a better team. And without Crosby, it isn’t the Pens.

Pens sputtered on power play as has been so often.
Years from now, when we look back and wonder why this rendition of Pens did not win the expected multiple Stanley Cups, the answer will be inability to figure out how to score on a power play. Utterly inexcusable with the talent they have.
