  1. CWalton_67 says:

Sid joins team and will resume skating. Twitter explodes. Alleged expert fans and bloggers accusing media of getting Sid rushed back. Terribly disappointed in the reaction to the current slump by some Pens fans. It’s a 5 game losing streak. Big deal. Try getting blown up a couple of times in one day. Try strapping on 70 pounds of gear the following day with your ears still ringing and your heart in your throat and getting back into another vehicle to do it again. That’s a bit of adversity.

    Go Pens.

  2. Poz says:

    Three bits of good news.

    1. Crosby skating with the team. (Though I’m tempering any excitement.)

    2. No Pens, so far, reportedly injured during the pre-game skate.

    3. DK back home and settled in after the brutal Denver trip.

And I notice Crosby’s status is supposed to be addressed to the media. I believe DK called for this either today or yesterday.

And while I’m here – fanastic job,DK, in your coverage of the Steelers and Pens during difficult times. Your astute and honest insight is why people like me follow you.

  3. Poz says:

Fleury. A puck. A stick. Rarely does anything good happen.

  4. Poz says:

Malkin turns puck over. 3 on1. Caps score….

  5. Poz says:

Pens down one after one. But two things.

Malkin turned the puck over that led to the goal, but he was out there creating chances. I will watch to see if he continues to use his skills to create chances,or sulk.

The Pens are down but this period was different from other losses. They were strong on the check. Covered their end well. And had chances in the offensive end.

The biggest concern after one- Fleury’s handling of the puck. Very bad.

  6. Poz says:

Midway through second.Pens down by one.But they are still pressing. Just are lacking (beyond Malkin) somebody to score a goal…..oh,Orpik has been huge on D.

  7. CWalton_67 says:

Is it just me, or are the Pens simply not getting to the front of the net?

  8. Jandy says:

CWalton, they aren’t doing it enough….I saw it a bit this game, but they need to crash the net and go for the dirty goals.
