And here is the Trib’s Pitt basketball page. Kevin Gorman is on the scene.

This should be a good one!
DK: Maybe, eventually, they’ll air it!
Taylor please finish…this is a game where defense needs to lead to offensive transition. This one will be chippy.
Need to stay within striking distance.
Big 8-0 run…Panthers look very composed out there.
Oops.
There will be runs both ways…Panthers doing well on road…keep it close for chance to win at the end.
21-21.. this is some ugly unwatchable basketball.
Tenacious man to man defense the two teams play…it is the basis why both are ranked top Big East squads.
One reason why I’m looking forward to the ACC. I’ve seen enough Big East.
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Look forward to the Duke/Pitt games still remember the Fields 3 at buzzer at MSG to take down Blue Devils. Will miss Georgetown, Villanova, UConn as Clemson, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech in hoops will take some getting used to.
Jamie Dixon’s brand of basketball is like watching the New Jersey Devils coached by Jacques Lemaire…
Remember who his teacher was.
That three foot radius ice zone underneath the basket is going to lose the game for Pitt. Layups blocked or bricked. Dunk the ball!!
Cam Wright sure knows how to draw negative attention to himself when the pressure is on. Sorry DK, he’s not very good under duress.
DK: Didn’t play well — or smart — at either end tonight.
Foul shots! Can’t close the deal. Get to within one, then go ice cold for five minutes.
Come on Man!!!!!!
What a pass from Patterson
Now that’s some really solid, confident offense.
Huge 3 from Woodall…patterson nice find an zieler finish…pitt retakes lead…time to d it up.
really smart move by Woodall to jump into Kilpatrick to draw the 4th foul.
54-48 Pitt… outstanding push up the court, move it around and quickly getting open man, Woodall, to drain a 3.
We’re watching this team climb the charts with every test they face. Wow, that’s a really solid bunch of Panthers.
Couldn’t agree more…this team continues to improve. Makes for a potential high ceiling if they continue with this kind of trajectory especially when you see teams like Kansas, Michigan and other top teams struggling to find consistency.
Woodall- en fuego…senior stepping up…strong second half from Dixon’s Panthers.
Jamie Dixon wins 75% of his games…. and yet, he would have higher % if it wasn’t for some terrible free throw shooting.
Adams to Zanna… throw it down!!
Adams doing his best impression of Alvin Adams with those sweet passes!
If the ball doesn’t even make it into play…. why not call intentional foul…
I hate this part of the game… foul this, foul that,
Seven of last eight Big East games, four road wins in conference including two versus top 20 teams, a top six home win…8-4 in league play…20-5 overall, outside of the need for improved FT shooting tough to find fault with much from this Pitt team. Going to see a big jump up in rankings come Monday.
Just another fantastic job being done by Jamie Dixon.
Nothing better than the sound of the very loud CLANG of the Cincy errant three pointers.
Dominant second half, great win Pitt!
We had ‘em all the way!! Alarmist posts come through.
My role served well…
Really nice win. Adams still getting better every game.
As Pitino says: Dixon is one of the top five coaches in America. Really, he’s got a winning record against every coach they play.
The only thing I like about pitt is its basketball coach.
That and…um…
No. That’s it.
