  1. There’s Adams in his freshmen year in the first few minutes of game.

    - his ball skills bouncing the rock off the floor and make a move inside the post is slow, weak and clumsy.

    - nails a swisher between foul line and right arch….

    - boxes out too much and gets called for the lame foul

    • Do you ever have a kind word to say about anyone ? It’s sports we’re talking about here, ya know ?

      • Don’t know how you can not find positives with a 20-6 team starting two true freshman with wins over 3 top 25 teams, 6 top 50 teams and maybe bounce back team of the year.

This has been such a fun team and season to watch unfold and has far exceeded expectations.

      • yeah, I just don’t live here posting all the nice things to say about a team who was blowing out ND because it was brick city for the Irish. I save that for Twitter, lol.

  2. A real good chance for a pit blowout

  3. 15-3 in first 11 minutes, nice bounceback effort being displayed by Pitt in third straight game versus ranked opponent.

All about improving seeding for Big East and NCAA tournaments at this point.

  4. Total defensive domination being shown…Panthers have the Irish totally frustrated. 19-3 start, wow.

    • Now 21-17. Pitt no longer dominating.

      • They are playing a top 25 team, wasn’t supposed to be easy. Still up at the half, hopefully momentum of Brey technical has worn off. Whistle should even out as Irish just six fouls to Panthers ten.

Pitt has been better second half team all year with ten deep usually can wear opposition down.

  5. Great coaching by Mike Brey, trying anything he can to wake his team up. The move to a zone hasn’t hurt either.

  6. Irish shooting 17% & trail by only 4. Not liking this.

  7. To listen to ND radio, Pitt has made it a wresfling match.

  8. The game changed after the Notre Dame coach got the technical.

  9. With Mr. 1992 NLCS announcing the game, this might be tough for Pitt to hold on.

  10. That play by Adams was the equivalent of Viagra for NBA scouts.

  11. The seven footer runs the floor coast to coast…good opening to half get crowd going and get some momentum back.

  12. Pitt has scored 9 points in about the last 12 minutes since being up 19-3. Ridiculous.

  13. Pitt has missed 17 shots & 2 free throws. Of those 19 they have 0 offensive rebounds.

  14. This kind of basketball won’t do in ACC…. just won’t.

  15. Will be an embarrassing L at home. Ice cold, once again.

  16. I would say they’re being outworked & outhustled, but I don’t want to get yelled at.

  17. Stating the obvious, but somebody from Pitt needs to step up and take control of this game. Yeah, that’s it.

  18. ND on a 37-15 run.

  19. Maybe Dixon needs to get a T. It sure changed this game around for the Irish.

DK: Ah, just a TV-style narrative. Not buying it.

  20. Notre Dame dominating the boards all nights

  21. A reminder, ND is bad defensively. Very bad.

  22. Not many chances left for Pitt with burn offense being deployed. Team has been outworked on glass looks timid on offense.

  23. Brey is an underrated coach. Hard to maintain a consistently good basketball program at a football school.

  24. Another offensive rebound for ND, this is turning into the worse loss of the season.

  25. This is very tough to watch

  26. Just getting pushed around. Irish on a 42-17 run.

  27. Everybody is scared to shoot. Two blowouts in a row. Not good.

  28. So much for the tip blowout. Even when they were down by 16 Notre Dame radio kept saying they were in it. Turned out they were right

  29. Where’s the intensity? Getting pushed around by a bunch of stiffs.

  30. Jamie Dixon usually keeps his cool but this may have been the game for him to blow his top at his squad. Can’t get pushed around on your court.

DK: Wouldn’t be surprised if that isn’t exactly what happened, based on Dixon’s rather dark demeanor at his press conference.

  31. The offense has been offensive.

  32. This is embarassing to watch..

  33. Great coaching by Brey… Dixon… not so much.

  34. Dr Jeckyl, Mr Hyde…this team has looked really good at times and the past two games has looked really bad.

This is a tough, bad loss…have lots of work to do to turn things back around.

  35. Looked forward to the game all day and it, well, sucked. Rest of schedule lends itself to working on weaknesses and getting ready for a good push at the Garden.

    • Me too, this has to rank among one of the top five worst games for Pitt at the Pete.

Still four league games left, hopefully this is just a small hiccup like early in league play and the team can right itself for a March run. But the past 72 hours have shown some areas for concern.
