Chat transcript: Why not Iginla?

By Dejan Kovacevic | Trib Total Media

  1. Patrick says:

Iginla would be great. It would be nothing but positive and would instantly make the Penguins favorite to win the cup by an even wider margin.

It would also be nice to have Derian Hatcher circa 1997, Mario circa 1990 and a 28 year old Kevin Stevens.

There are teams that need Iginla FAR more than the Pens do, and they need him for more than just the next 3 months. How far will a bubble/fringe team like Winnipeg be willing to pay? Probably more than Shero.

  2. Drew71 says:

    Dejan chatted this…

“Only in Pittsburgh would we give up the best view, by the way, to a bunch of dead people.”

Dejan, you have no idea. Sit with us old f***s at McKechnie when the temp is below 70. You’ll see more signs of life in the cemetery.

  3. NMR says:

Love Dejan’s Burghcentric recommendations the last few weeks.

  4. JohninOshkosh says:

Generally, when people admit they are in secluded cemeteries after dark, it usually means some sort of shenanigans is going on.

Dejan? He’s just enjoying a city view.

DK: Actually, I don’t think I’ve been up there at night. Not the world’s greatest neighborhood up there. But it’s very highly recommended by day. Unreal perspective.

  5. Jandy says:

    70??? 70????????????????????
We got 28 for a HIGH today, Drew, and you just keep rubbing salt in the wound! :(

  6. Ghost says:

Wherever he ends up, Tavon Austin should go with the name “Fun Idea” on the back of his jersey. Or at least the single-word name “Fun.” (We won’t point out the “short” part of the quote from today’s chat. ;) )

  7. Ghost says:

Might have Drew beat today. Just a few light wisps of clouds in a deep blue sky, with the temp. at 84 right now at noon. Not a whiff of humidity for hundreds of miles.

  8. Jandy says:

    ::sigh::

  9. Ghost says:

You can rub it in back at me in July when the 84 degrees will be Pittsburgh and it’s 114 over here in Vegas.

  10. Jandy says:

I just might do that lol
