  1. Dave G says:

    Let’s go Pens!

  2. Jason says:

    Allons Pingouins!

  3. tpbco says:

Pens info kinda lax, given the game tonite. Any body home at the Trib this afternoon? The other paper at least reported from the morning skate today.

  4. Bizrow says:

We’re making a list and checking it twice

Trying to log all the locations that Dejan Lunatics reside

If you are new posting or haven’t signed in, please add a reply to this post with your current residence

  5. likeabugonarug says:

Wonder how many trips DK had to make to the language conversion site….

DK: Took advanced French at Duquesne.

  6. Brandie says:

Tanner Glass…The Little Engine That Could. :-)

  7. cherokee23 says:

What’s evryone think of Ovechkin & the Caps right now….haven’t been paying them much attention, but all of a sudden Ovie pushing 30 goals and Caps a solid 3 seed

  8. Bizrow says:

They are hot right now, but got the #3 seed due in part to a weak division

(as I duck, since Winnipeg is in the same one)

I’d like to see the Jets make the playoffs though

  9. Chris says:

Longtime reader, finally going to try this posting stuff out.

    Elkridge, MD

DK: Welcome, Chris. Every post after your first goes up automatically.

  10. Milo Hamilton says:

    No Malkin tonight.

  11. Hurrah for that Duquesne education!!!!

    Only two more courses . . . . . . . . . .

  12. scapper says:

Been saying for a month that they are going to be dangerous come May. Don’t be fooled by the weak division. They’re solid right now, and Ovechkin is back to being beastly Ovechkin. They’re always a hard team to play in the playoffs (unless they face Tampa!). I think that’s the team the Pens should fear the most.

Oh wait, based on the last two seasons, I guess the team the should fear most is whoever they play in the first round.

  13. Brandie says:

    Rather have him back healthy.

  14. Milo Hamilton says:

    Ridiculous call.

  15. Chris says:

    There’s the make-up call

  16. likeabugonarug says:

Tres bien! I haven’t had since jr. high. Not gonna say how long ago that was. Of course, will always know the lyrics to “Lady Marmalade”.

When you traveled to Vancouver and Winnipeg, which language was mostly spoken? Did you break out your Francais?

  17. theplanisworking says:

    Bucs winning 1-0 also.

  18. theplanisworking says:

    2,000 career K’s for AJ Burnett. :)

  19. TK39 says:

I’m with you, I’d like to see the Jets get in too. Here’s hoping the Rangers tank!

  20. Brandie says:

    2-0 Pens…Good night so far.

  21. theplanisworking says:

I was flipping channels and missed the second goal! :(

  22. Brandie says:

Listening on Sirius satellite so I can hear Lange and the old 2niner.

  23. theplanisworking says:

    Loved Bor-quie……….

  24. Milo Hamilton says:

Me too. Listening on the laptop. I’ve become an expert at syncing up the audio to the TV.

  25. Brandie says:

    Grit and intelligence.

  26. Milo Hamilton says:

I’m getting the feeling that Brenden Morrow is starting to feel comfortable in his new surroundings.

  27. DK: Man, Brenden Morrow is just competing out there. Shift to shift, lays it out. Wonderful hockey player, wonderful acquisition by Ray Shero and his advance scouts to see he still had something left.

  28. DK: Brendan Gallagher of Habs going off after blocking shot with left foot. Doesn’t look good. Would be huge loss if long term. Top rookie.

  29. Milo Hamilton says:

Hey, who’s the new guy ?

  30. Milo Hamilton says:

    So … any questions ?

  31. DK: Jarome Iginla’s 1,100th point. Really a pretty nice shot given the garbage ice.

  32. JohninOshkosh says:

I’m trying to go back and forth between 2 games. My thumb isn’t in good enough shape and it’s aggravating my adult ADD. Best pick one and stick with it.

  33. theplanisworking says:

    I dunno……….. some Riverhounds fan………..
tough to play soccer on ice……………………….. ;)

  34. Brandie says:

The injuries were a blessing of sorts…pressed the new guys into seeing consistent action, learning the system, and fine tuning their games. Shero always has his eyes open for hidden gems.

  35. Milo Hamilton says:

Multi tasking. Saturday night, I watched the Penguins game on the phone while at the Pirate game. My mom still tells me I’m going to scramble my brain. I fear it’s already happened.

  36. theplanisworking says:

After missing an earlier goal, I flipped over just to see this one!
    I am getting better!

Man, the Pens look good tonight.
Really have a jump in their step.

  37. Chris says:

So this guy was washed up in Dallas, huh?

  38. cherokee23 says:

Bennet is a pretty smooth hockey player!

  39. Brandie says:

    2 goals tonight. Brenden’s a beast.

  40. Milo Hamilton says:

No more could be or gonna be with Beau Bennett. He belongs. Right now.

  41. cherokee23 says:

Pens playing great! AJ pitching great! 2 game blogs to follow!……’s tough being a fan! LOL

  42. Chris says:

Makes you wonder where he’d be if he didn’t get the flu and started the season here.

  43. Pucknutz says:

Hey DK, speakin of garbage ice, Why?
Maybe I missed somthing , but I have never heard a really good explanation why.
State of the art building – what the problem???

  44. Bizrow says:

    Thanks Chris, thanks Dejan

  45. kr70 says:

LOL, Sid and Geno will be healthy scratches!

  46. Milo Hamilton says:

The Pens are playing well tonight, but the Habs goaltending has been atrocious.

  47. Bizrow says:

Hope and expect, the plan is working ( I do not think I’ve ever said those words before)

Many miles to go, but the Pens throughout the organization have one goal, one mission

    From top to bottom.

    Complete, undeniable

    Can’t wait

  48. Daquido_Bazzini says:

Just saw on Twitter that Steve McClendon visited GB today.
If signed (and not matched), we would receive NO compensation.
Let me get this straight….The Steelers are an “old” 8-8 team, but everyone wants their FA’s.
Something strange about the fact that it’s been years since an offer was made to a restricted FA, and we now stand the chance of two Steelers being offered contracts by other teams.
    Very strange….

  49. scapper says:

Newest Pens injury: Shero dislocates shoulder patting self on back.

At least I’m assuming, what with who has scored tonight. Unreal.

  50. cherokee23 says:

    Now that’s funny!

  51. cherokee23 says:

Steigy just said it….this team is now initiating, not retaliating….love the way this team is built!

  52. Milo Hamilton says:

Brenden Morrow with the Gordie Howe hat trick.

  53. scapper says:

Most important aspect they can bring to May hockey, no doubt.

  54. theplanisworking says:

Pens and Bucs both win !

  55. cherokee23 says:

Just saw DK tweet about Morrow becoming a folk hero…..reminds me a bit of the WWGRD stuff….What Would Gary Roberts Do!!

  56. cherokee23 says:

Just noticed DK already hashtagged WWBMD

  57. scapper says:

Guy does invaluable stuff on the ice even in games where he doesn’t show up on the score sheet…stuff that has been missing the last few playoff series. Guy is going to own his role this spring.

  58. MadTurk says:

Clasified as an upper body injury

  59. Joni says:

I think there is a connection between Ovie’s beast mode and the fact that his tennis player fiancé, Maria Kirilenko (also Russian), was/is in the U.S.A. for most of March. Unfortunately the Ladies of pro tennis are off to other countries. Let’s see how/if Ovie keeps it together in the weeks to come.
Also, have you seen a picture of his fiance, Maria? Talk about a “how did he swing that?” maneuver.
