  3. Rangers up 4-0, won’t be facing them first round

  4. GO PENS !!

  5. Finish it off with a good note to go into the Playoffs riding high. Go Pens!

  6. Pirates game won’t be over by start of Pens game, what is Root Sports doing?

  7. Pens lineup vs Canes

    Kunitz-Malkin-Neal, Iginla-Jokinen-Dupuis, Morrow-Sutter-Cooke, Glass-Adams-Kennedy

    Despres-Martin, Eaton-Letang, Murray-Niskanen

    Fleury – Vokoun

  8. Can’t wait for hockey season to start!

Just hope it lasts more than one round this time.

  9. Let’s hope that Malkin goal is the start of his dominance.

  10. There are 3 Staals. Please tell Steigy when he’s making the calls.

  11. @DK…. no other city in America can claim to be the Mecca, either… so really, can’t have it both ways. PBC ratings are pretty high, Pens ratings are higher than any NHL team in the U.S., right? I mean, think about this if you’re a tv executive…who’s going to watch the games from beginning to end? what’s the demo? how can I turn that demo into dollars?

Pens win in every category and they would in nearly every market in the US v. a MLB team.

  12. Welcome back James Neal… PP goal (I think)

  13. Chris Neal!

  14. Iginla should have shot there.

  15. A few shifts now where Iginla is playing with Jokinen and Dupuis.

    Jokinen scores again.

    3-1 Pens

  16. UGH

    now game tied 3-3….

  17. Write this down: Pens will not win another Stanley Cup with MAF in goal.

  18. Perfect timing award of the night:

Carolina scores two goals in :37 right after Steigerwald beams about the Pens playing some of their tightest defense ever this season.

  19. I remember KDKA am 1020 airing the Pirates game instead of Game 5 Penguins-Flyers in 1989. April baseball over playoff hockey. The baseball game was also on KDKA tv 2 and that’s where Lanny updated the game with a score graphic… 4-0, 5-0, 6-0 Mario has 8 points.

I was way young and may not have known the Penguins were moved to a different radio station, but the flagship didn’t carry it. Now THAT was ridiculous.

  20. Bucs win! Another team win, playing for each other. A.J. got late support instead of no support to get the W. Imagine him being 1-3 with a 2.83 ERA. He is the leader and the rest of the team got it done for him. Don’t know how long this fun is going to last, but I’m going to sit back and enjoy.

  21. Hat trick for Neal!

  22. It is not possible to justify not putting Kunitz with Neal and Malkin.

  23. Morrow! 6-3 Pens. Carolina just wants to go home.

  24. wow… James Neal… you are ready.

  25. C’mon Pens fans… final home game—

  26. I know its just the canes.. but.. good to know we have a healthy James Neal and Malkin going into the playoffs. Just curious, what is the point of the tinted visor? If he still has light sensitivity (concussion symptom), he should probably not be playing.. so it must be something else, right?

  27. also, if we end up playing ottawa first round I say we sit Crosby for the first round. Let him practice and get up to contact speed.

Malkin power move by Cookie. Lovin it. Again, its just the canes but dam thats pretty. :|

  28. Matt Cooke makes it 7-3 with 4 minutes to go

  29. Dupuis bangs in number 8 for the Pens in final minute

  30. So tomorrow night decides two series, and Boston kind of holds its own fate.

If Boston prefers to play the Islanders, they tank against Ottawa
If Boston wants the Ottawa match-up, they compete hard.

Conversely, if Ottawa wants to avoid the Pens and Play the Bruins, they come out fighting.

    Very interesting scenario.

  31. Iit’s obvious Malkin is the catalyst for James Neal playing well. They feed off each other.
