  5. theplanisworking says:

    Biz,

when you started this list, did you ever envision the list getting this big?

    Thank you for posting/updating this.

  6. Eric Bowser says:

Game 3, I had a nice little “column” written and then an epic brain cramp happened and I wasn’t about to post that.

A few things need to change tonight

    1) Crosby hasn’t scored a goal in the third period for 22 straight playoff games.
    2) Neal has scored 4 goals in 19 career playoff games, most of those with Malkin.
    3) Malkin has 3 goals this playoff season, Pens need more than assists from him.
    4) Power Play can’t be a momentum killer, 0-for-6 can’t happen
    5) Faceoffs can’t start off like they did in game 3.

    Expected Lineup

    1st: Kunitz – Crosby – Dupuis
    2nd: Iginla – Malkin – Neal
    3rd: Cooke – Sutter – Kennedy
    4th: Glass – Jokinen – Adams
*Morrow is expected to miss tonight’s game due to an unknown injury.

    Defense
    DP1: Orpik – Martin
    DP2: Niskanen – Letang
    DP3: Murray – Eaton

    Goal
    Vokoun
    Fleury

  7. Kris says:

Did I miss seeing Squirrel Hill in the Pittsburgh list?

  8. theplanisworking says:

Well, Game 4 is upon us.

Ottawa was extremely lucky to be down only 2 to 1. Yes Anderson stood on his head, but still…

Neal and Dupuis are my key players to tonights game. If they bury pucks, we win.

Another key to tonights game is the coaching of Disco Duck. He simply cannot lose this game tonight with boneheaded moves. The placement of Iginla continues to amaze, and not in a good way.

Looking forward to another tight struggle tonight.
I see a 3-1 victory for the good guys.

And if Bylsma screws around tonight, I will not only volunteer to sit on him, I will help coach the team. ;)

    GO PENS !!!!!!!!

  9. BillyBaduka says:

    LET’S GO PENS!!!!

  10. Eric Bowser says:

Bennett is out for warm ups skating with Jokinen and Adams….

  11. theplanisworking says:

    +1

  12. Lad9 says:

    +10 and a hippo!

  13. theplanisworking says:

    Why thank you! ;)

  14. Vette60 says:

    Let’ go PENS!

Saw Bowser’s post above regarding Bennett – not a bad move IMO. Like adding Jussi to the line up for his faceoff skill…

Agree that Neal needs to get going…still am in disbelief of the implosion at the end of Game 3, but since I am a fan, that’s ok. Let’s hope (and I do believe) the players are over it.

I said Pens in 6 and really hope it’s more like Pens in 5!

Rangers are toast, so I would like the Pens to have a short series here…

    Let’s go PENS!

Take care all and enjoy the game!

    Randy in RVA.

  15. Pucknutz says:

    GO PENS !!!

  16. Sherry says:

At the ready out west! LGP!!!

  17. JohninOshkosh says:

Kenny Albert and Brian Engblom are tonight’s announcers for those of us not fortunate enough to get CBC feed.

  18. JohninOshkosh says:

Props to NBC-actually televising the anthems.

  19. Milo Hamilton says:

And Lyndon Slewidge is awesome !

  20. JohninOshkosh says:

    + with goose pimples.

  21. Eric Bowser says:

Gonchar with gift penalty for interference

  22. theplanisworking says:

Well, thats not a good start!

  23. JohninOshkosh says:

    Ugh-very bad feeling about this.

  24. J Walter Weatherman says:

DK was spot on. Have to get Letang off the PP.

  25. T.S. says:

    Letang looks horrrrrrrrrrible.

  26. Kevin says:

anyone else thinks vokoun should have challenged on that breakaway? he looked deep in net. but maybe thats just me.

  27. florida steeler says:

Nice job Letang–defensive player of the year–my a$$.

  28. J Walter Weatherman says:

Brandon Sutter is overdue to show up in these playoffs. Maybe this will be the game.

  29. Kevin says:

why blaming that on letang? He got dumped in the corner, right?

  30. J Walter Weatherman says:

    Nice shift by Malkin line.

  31. JohninOshkosh says:

Let’s see if they can prevent another short handed goal. Pens on second PP.

  32. Kevin says:

Anderson & goalpost stoning us so far.

  33. theplanisworking says:

They are not shooting the puck!

    Very shaky start so far.

  34. J Walter Weatherman says:

Sens, especially Anderson, gaining confidence. Pens not capitalizing on opportunities. Everything shaping up badly this game. Need to get a good bounce.

  35. T.S. says:

Yeah, he got dumped. Then slowed down to complain to the ref as the goal-scoring play took shape. No excuse.

  36. MadTurk says:

We need to start lifting the puck, Shoot high this guy and laying all over the ice.

  37. Kevin says:

and crosby should have scored that… phillips toe save be dammed.

  38. florida steeler says:

What was Iginla doing??? Shoot the damn puck!!!!!

  39. florida steeler says:

Exactly and let Michalek beat them–are you kidding me??

  40. JohninOshkosh says:

This Anderson guy is completely in the zone. Denies the world’s greatest player on a golden opportunity.

  41. J Walter Weatherman says:

If they keep getting these chances, they’ll get one to go in. Anderson has been incredible though so far. Going to take a great game by Vokoun and defense to win.

  42. J Walter Weatherman says:

I said it after last game. I’d rather have Despres in for Niskanen. I stand by that statement.

  43. Paperboy says:

Pens are working hard. Just a matter of time.

  44. MadTurk says:

Agreed, like them to try some other shots verticle wise.

  45. DJ says:

Still waiting for a couple Pens to make more than one tape-to-tape pass on PP. Our passing is atrocious. Every pass needs to be settled before we can do anything with it. And with the Sens rushing the points (how many times have we seen that over the last 3 years and yet failed to have an answer from our coaching staff?) poor passing only exacerbates the problem.

  46. J Walter Weatherman says:

There we go, James Neal!!! Huge goal.

  47. T.S. says:

    The Real Deal James Neal!

  48. DJ says:

I’m with ya’ JWW, but it’s beating a dead horse I’m afraid.

  49. Sherry says:

    James Neal baby!

  50. MadTurk says:

Wow a high shot and it goes in.

  51. Eric Bowser says:

    Finally…. Neal scores

  52. theplanisworking says:

    Very huge!

    Now lets get some more!

  53. theplanisworking says:

Lets wish Duper good luck also!

  54. Milo Hamilton says:

That Neal goal ends 63 minutes and 32 seconds of scoreless hockey for the Penguins. Longest such streak of the year ?

  55. theplanisworking says:

    Oy vey!

  56. J Walter Weatherman says:

I sense we’re not going to get the great game from Vokoun they need.

  57. theplanisworking says:

Is it too late to bench LeTang?

  58. florida steeler says:

Good job again–Letang–sit his ass on the bench!!!!

  59. J Walter Weatherman says:

Time to scale back ice time for Letang, but Bylsma won’t do that.

  60. Sherry says:

    Seriously Pens? W. T. F.

  61. JohninOshkosh says:

Dejan better have his hotel reservations page bookmarked. I can’t help but think there will be a game five in our good neighbour’s capital.

  62. Milo Hamilton says:

Your best players have to be your best players.

  63. T.S. says:

J, when Letang knocks his own goalie over, it’s hard to blame Vokoun for the puck going in.

  64. JohninOshkosh says:

    *six

  65. J Walter Weatherman says:

Pens completely dominated that period and are losing. Vokoun and Letang better get their stuff together quickly.

  66. J Walter Weatherman says:

He lost a sloppy rebound, but yes, Letang was partially to blame.

  67. MadTurk says:

And a Malkin give a way almost made it 3 to 1. Gee will this guy ever learn?

  68. MadTurk says:

    And when they are not?

  69. Kevin says:

    well said, sir!

  70. Milo Hamilton says:

    You set up tee times.

  71. T.S. says:

No way I want to see Fleury in there.

  72. Milo Hamilton says:

Kunitz, Letang & Crosby all minus 2.

  73. DJ says:

We should have a good feel how this is going to go the rest of night by the first 5 minutes of Period 2. Need to keep skating hard.

  74. theplanisworking says:

    After 1 period…………..

Incredibly sloppy play by the Pens. Turnovers, 2 on 1′s, giving up a short-handed goal. Players look hesitant, almost scared at times……….. many poor decisions, cross-ice passes, etc.

They have generated good scoring chances, but Anderson is standing on his head again.

Letang, and Niskanen have been brutal out there. Crosby and Neal have looked good.

Man, this period reminded me of the Islander series all over again. Not a good thing.

Need to eliminate the turnovers, and bury a puck or two.

  75. Karen22 says:

    Oh, dear…another AGITA game!

  76. Jandy says:

This team looks lazy and sloppy. No one wants to hit. No one wants to pressure the puck carrier. Just let them skate right in. Letang needs to sit his a$$ until he gets his head out of it. Malkin…bah! Just send him to the locker room. Best person I’ve seen on the ice so far is Lyndon Slewidge.

OshKosh, it sure is good to see you here this evening :)

  77. Milo Hamilton says:

And only 8 hits in the first period. They need to pick it up physically, making life to easy for the Senators.

  78. Jandy says:

Darn right, Milo, maybe we should put tutus on them?

  79. theplanisworking says:

    Evening, Jandy.

Changed my avatar for you and Brandie, lol.

You need to get the size 9′s ready………… they are needed !!!

  80. Jandy says:

Good evenin, my Hippo friend :)

  81. MadTurk says:

    + a zillion

  82. theplanisworking says:

I still have nightmares from Fantasia. Lets not bring that up, ok?

  83. Jandy says:

    Ha! Love the avatar Hipposter.
I’m about ready to get my turbo broom out and fly to Ottawa. Size 9 wides are ready!

  84. Eric Bowser says:

Ottawa’s 2nd goal starts because Kunitz doesn’t get the puck deep and loses it just inside the offensive blue line. Inside Pens zone, Dupuis is too far inside the middle of the ice and can’t race to the boards to get the loose puck and Karlsson sweeps the puck toward the net that Vokoun horribly misplays into a bad round. As puck is bouncing off Vokoun… Letang is standing right next to him with his back turned and looking at Vokoun, thus not a clue in the world from which direction the Senators will be crashing the net.

While that is happening, Turris is charging the net, Crosby is turning up the ice near LW faceoff dot and Kunitz is behind and to the side of Silfverberg, puck comes to him with untied stick, Letang reacts to reach for puck, Kunitz then can’t reach to hook him or anything… Crosby is looking behind seeing the action and then as Vokoun makes a save, Letang bumps into him and Silfverberg… Kunitz out to pasture…. again, doing not and Turris has a straight line to the net with NO ONE on him.

When Turris gets the puck, Niskanen is coming out of the LW corners below the goal line, Kunitz finally tries to do something and Crosby is standing at the top of the defensive zone.

What a wreck of a shift by Kunitz again…..

  85. Jandy says:

    lol

  86. Paperboy says:

They’ve been lots if things. Lazy isn’t one if them. 16 first period shots. Puck was in ottawa’s zone majority of the period. They’re working hard, just need to sure up the back end. Crosby is playing like a man possessed right now.

  87. Kevin says:

I agree Lyndon Slewidge was pretty good…

  88. Jandy says:

agreed on Kunitz. where is his head?
And Letang…what the heck is wrong with him?

  89. theplanisworking says:

Maybe Game 3 is affecting them, and nobody wants to acknowledge this?

  90. Jandy says:

no one is hitting a red sweater. Lazy, whatever you want to call or not call it. Get some passion and play like you WANT to advance to the next round. Sid can’t do it all himself, he needs some help.

  91. theplanisworking says:

    WWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  92. Sarah says:

So Kunitz makes up for it a bit

  93. Kevin says:

    Thank Kunitz. There’s a finish.

  94. J Walter Weatherman says:

The rarely seen 2 on 0.

  95. MadTurk says:

There’s your start and they sure love the 5 hole on Anderson

  96. Sherry says:

It really seems like the guys are in that “we can offense our way to a win” mindset again. Like the Philly series. And Vouky was sloppy on that 2nd goal too. Poor, poor execution on everything but natural offensive talent (which Anderson is stoning) – not gonna get it done without smarts and effort boys.

  97. Paperboy says:

2 on 0. Over-aggressive much? That’ll get em to sit back.

  98. Sarah says:

Was karlsonn diving for a call there?

  99. Jandy says:

If anything, it should have motivated them to play responsible hockey

  100. Eric Bowser says:

Yes, you can thank me. I rip Kunitz, he scores

  101. theplanisworking says:

    WWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AGAIN !!!!!!!!

  102. Kevin says:

no diving call for Michalek.. kinda disappointed. that one looked pretty good.. omg Iginla just finished!

  103. Milo Hamilton says:

Kunitz goal started with Kunitz knocking down Karlsson.

  104. Kevin says:

Keep finishing guys! Let’s go Pens!

  105. J Walter Weatherman says:

THAT’S what I’m talkin about. Keep it up!!! Sens defense looks horrible this game.

  106. Eric Bowser says:

Iginla all positioning… bad bad bad rebound by Anderson off Letang shot and easy goal by Iginla

  107. theplanisworking says:

Gee, pressuring the goalie, and shooting the puck.

    What a concept!!

  108. Sherry says:

    Okay, never mind. :)

  109. Paperboy says:

    Great call. Great response.

  110. Jandy says:

    good job, eric!

  111. theplanisworking says:

    +1

  112. Paperboy says:

Response by the Pens I mean.

  113. MadTurk says:

Here’s what I like, first instead of a dump in they all rush in together, then an off angle shot and people driving the net for the rebound. This is what I have been waiting for.

  114. Jandy says:

    That’s what I’m talkin about!

  115. Sarah says:

Anderson actually nearly whiffed on that initial save. About time he made a mistake.

  116. Kevin says:

Damn.. Tk couldn’t finish.. atleast Anderson was a bit out of his net on that one to challenge.

  117. Jandy says:

yeah something once in a while other than the same old thing !

  118. Kevin says:

    wtg!

  119. Jandy says:

    How about a roughing call?

  120. Kevin says:

huh, not sure how I missed that. Ya that looked easy. Just picking up the garbage and putting it in the net.

  121. Sarah says:

    Great pressure by JJn BB

  122. Jandy says:

    agreed

  123. Sarah says:

Oy!! Who’s in front of Vokoun???

  124. Kevin says:

yep that line looks good… wonder if its all freshness. yikes that one of the post our way :\

  125. theplanisworking says:

    Not many tonight. :(

  126. Jandy says:

Bennett has good hockey smarts. It’s not all freshness

  127. Milo Hamilton says:

The next penalty is against the Penguins.

  128. MadTurk says:

Yep like the dump in when everyone is standing still at the blue line. Hard to get in and get the puck like that.

  129. Jandy says:

    I won’t argue that Milo

  130. Kevin says:

Nice lil crosscheck on Letang on that almost goal.

  131. MadTurk says:

They sure have been pounding LeTang. Isles did the same thing.

  132. Jandy says:

they know he’ll retaliate and take a penalty. Hope he keeps his cool

  133. Kevin says:

    There’s a save by Vokoun. I think.

  134. Sarah says:

Vokoun never really had that, wow.
We have NO net front coverage right now

  135. Jandy says:

    sloppy,

  136. Kevin says:

Is it me or was Karlsson just giving Crosby a hug?

  137. Jandy says:

    Vokoun was on that one

  138. Kevin says:

Another scary moment for Vokoun as he turns his head to make sure the shot didn’t go in. Is he really seeing the puck or just getting lucky at this point?

  139. Jandy says:

    haha

  140. Jandy says:

or just covering all his bases

  141. Kevin says:

Damn, if Martin’s a forward, I think that pucks in the net.

  142. theplanisworking says:

Vokoun may be jittery because he knows he is getting NO help in front of him!

  143. Paperboy says:

Yeah, just couldn’t settle it. Good set up by Sutter

  144. Milo Hamilton says:

Kunitz is not on the bench.

  145. Kevin says:

go James Neal. get another one.

  146. Sarah says:

He is tracking the puck poorly.

  147. Jandy says:

    uh oh

  148. Kevin says:

Yay! A Vokoun save! (w/ no rebound)

  149. Jandy says:

    nice

  150. Sarah says:

Yeah. He’s not getting much help but he’s been sloppy. And lucky.

  151. Sarah says:

    Tanger again

  152. Kevin says:

well Milo was right.. next penalty is Ottawas. Was that retaliation for Cowen’s elbow to the face check?

  153. Jandy says:

    Martin is so tenacious

  154. Kevin says:

    wow another post… :\

  155. Jandy says:

dang that post was our friend

  156. Sarah says:

    Did I say lucky?

  157. Kevin says:

woot no rebound + net coverage for Sarah.

  158. Kevin says:

Ah hah free crank shaft to Spezza’s head.

  159. Jandy says:

You might have mentioned it ;)

  160. MadTurk says:

I think TV is playing well with the way the defense is no where to be seen at times.

  161. MadTurk says:

Good thing TV went out high and disrupted the attempt for the defense was no where near him for any help once again.

  162. Kevin says:

*hearts* DVR. Gets to rewind and rewatch the penguins goal. couple notes -

    - Kunitz goal on his first shift in the second.
    - Letang shot the shot that Anderson gave up the lil dribbley rebound behind him that Iginla neatly finished.

  163. DJ says:

Let’s bury one or two early in Period 3 and take the mystery out of this one . . . and then hope we get no more PPs the rest of the way.

  164. theplanisworking says:

    After 2 periods…………….

Better play offensively that period. Good things tend to happen when you pressure offensively, and shoot the puck. Maybe a light bulb went off here?

Defensively, what a blooming mess! TV is scared……….. because he knows the D in front of him is nowhere to be found. Why are 2 Dmen playing the same Senator? Why are we leaving the crease open and constantly unguarded???

Better play in the defensive zone is absolutely necessary to secure this win.
We are 20 minutes away from a very nice 3-1 series lead.

  165. florida steeler says:

Offense went into slow gear the last six minutes of that period. Hope Bylsma is not starting the Steeler Prevent the Win defense again. Saw enough of that on Sunday. Cooke, a foolish penalty.

  166. Karen22 says:

    Third period’s gonna be wild…sure hope we (I) survive…

  167. Eric Bowser says:

Gotta wonder about Kunitz, last shift was around 7:45 to go in 2nd period and around 8:00 mark, he took a very light check along LW boards and hasn’t been on the ice since.

  168. Jandy says:

DB better be pointing some of these points out to these guys.

  169. Kevin says:

my 6-2 prediction for a penguins win is still attainable. Just gotta come out and play with some intensity.. desperation style hockey.

  170. Sherry says:

Without better defensive play we won’t get far even if we do get past the Sens.

  171. Kevin says:

    Definitely wondering.

  172. J Walter Weatherman says:

Sens will be throwing the kitchen sink at the Pens this period. Hold on!

  173. theplanisworking says:

    Agreed Sherry, agreed.

  174. Jandy says:

    maybe even the Zamboni

  175. Jandy says:

    Good job Cookie

  176. J Walter Weatherman says:

Letang on PP again? Oh boy.

  177. Jandy says:

    Neal again!

  178. JohninOshkosh says:

Just so they don’t let the kitchen sink screen shots, Walt.

  179. theplanisworking says:

    NEAL X2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  180. theplanisworking says:

    GMTA…………. even Hippos. ;)

  181. Sherry says:

Hot damn, did Sid shoot wide on purpose?,!

  182. J Walter Weatherman says:

Wow. Nice goal, but I can’t believe Crosby missed that wide open net. Great puck movement.

  183. Jandy says:

    YES!

  184. theplanisworking says:

Zamboni? Is that a pasta dish? ;)

  185. Brandie says:

Check out the live box score…there s a type o…it had Pittsburgh leading 3 games to none. A good omen…?

  186. theplanisworking says:

    hit the post.

  187. Sarah says:

    Glanced off the near post.

Man am I glad to eat my words re Neal!

  188. Jandy says:

    He’ll never tell !

  189. Sherry says:

    And Kuny’s back! Whew.

  190. theplanisworking says:

    BRANDIE!

Changed my avatar for you and Jandy’s benefit.

    Welcome.

  191. Sherry says:

Does Vouky have some aversion to actually hanging on to the puck?

  192. Jandy says:

    AMen!

  193. J Walter Weatherman says:

I think Neal would like that shot back.

  194. Jandy says:

Hey girl, good to see ya :)

  195. Eric Bowser says:

Remember, when I said Neal scored only 4 goals in last 19 playoff games…

he’s gunning for more and he’s got 2

  196. Jandy says:

Keep bashing him eric, it’s working ;)

  197. Eric Bowser says:

  204. Brandie says:

Out with the husband and some friends.

  205. Jandy says:

I was ranting after the first period. You missed it lol

  206. Kevin says:

we’re playing with intensity, I like it.

  207. J Walter Weatherman says:

Niskanen continues to prove worthlessness. Too bad, because I thought he played really well most of the season. Complete liability in the playoffs.

  208. J Walter Weatherman says:

Maybe they’ll suspend Niskanen. Might be the only way to get him out of the lineup.

  209. Jandy says:

    please don’t talk nonsense

  210. J Walter Weatherman says:

    What a play!!!!

  211. Sarah says:

    Pweeeeeeee

  212. theplanisworking says:

  216. Brandie says:

  217. theplanisworking says:

I talk nonsense all the time, you dont seem to mind………. ;)

  218. Kevin says:

  229. Sarah says:

Anderson sold out on the sweep check….

  230. Jandy says:

not that kind of nonsense Hipposter

  231. theplanisworking says:

  232. Kevin says:

  250. JohninOshkosh says:

    Fire Bylsma.

  251. J Walter Weatherman says:

This is as dominating a puck-possession game as I’ve seen the Pens play in a while.

  252. Lad9 says:

I’m an unapologetic Bylsma supporter, Sir Hippo.

  267. Jandy says:

  268. Sherry says:

Happy to put a dent in Sens scoring dominance in the 3rd.

  269. Jandy says:

  287. J Walter Weatherman says:

  295. Jandy says:

  304. Brandie says:

    Sick em Jandy.

  305. J Walter Weatherman says:

Poulliot, Maata, and Harrington are not on the Baby Pens yet and they’re the best prospects. Actually, they’re all playing in the Saskatoon Cup right now.

  306. OZ says:

    Is game 5 on Friday?

  307. Milo Hamilton says:

  327. Jandy says:

Off to bed…happy dreams tonight :)

  328. Danch70 says:

You can add Savannah to your GA list.

  329. Brandie says:

    Night darlin’.

  330. Brandie says:

    Forget that troll then.

  331. theplanisworking says:

    End of game thoughts………….

the 3rd period is what happens when you commit to pressuring the other team in the offensive zone, and shoot the puck. Puck normally cant go in unless you shoot it. puck possession was good also………….. dont turn it over, you dont give the other team cahnaces to score.

Great to see Neal and Dupuis have good games. overdue, I think, but hey, I will take them anyday.

One word of caution about this group…………. If they play D like they did tonight, they will need to score 7 goals a game to win. Very sloppy, no presence in front of Vokoun.

But we have a much desired 3 to 1 lead!

  332. theplanisworking says:

    Night you 2!

  333. Kevin says:

ya I consider it big.. we beat the bruins AHL affiliate.

  334. Kevin says:

another fun stat… Crosby fastest players to 40 playoff goals.

  335. Danch70 says:

    Few thoughts:

    1. Nice to break through Anderson. He had me sweating in the first period.

1a. Nice to put it away early in the 3rd, so I didn’t have to sweat all the way to the end.

    2. Still think Letang needs to sit on the 1st team PP. Iginla and Martin on the points. Per Coach Kovacevic.

    3. Dead horse: Isn’t it funny that Bylsma called that lineup he sent out at the end of game 3 his possession lineup. With Malkin and Letang??

    4. Hopefully win it at home in five. Hopefully in Anderson’s head. He’s their only hope.

    5. Hope Kunitz is ok. Any word?

    6. Vokoun: Looked shaky. Gave up a lot of rebounds. Couldn’t control the puck. Lots of dribblers through him. Couple of posts. Nonetheless, he only let in two when it mattered and you stick with that. Skill or luck, it’s working.

    7. Malkin: What happened to him? He’s skating like he’s putting in no effort. His defense is suspect. His shots are predictable. His passes are being cut off. Can still deke a few guys and cycle for a minute. But not much to his game right now.

    8. Crosby: Never seen him play so good as his is in general these playoffs. His passes are unreal. Yeah, his speed, strength, and hustle are still there like always. But his passing is legendary right now.

    I’ll leave it at that.

  336. Kevin says:

oh and all you Letang haters, guess who got the 1st star..

  337. Danch70 says:

@kevin … true, he did get the first star. I would say it was a paper star … the stat sheet showed four assists. And it also showed he was only a plus 1. How can you be the number one star when you’re a defenseman on the ice for three goals? All three goals. And he was also credited with 1 hit. Only one. And were any of his assists really memorable. Three of them were 2nd assists. And the other was a terrible rebound right to Iginla. Paper star. Just sayin …

  338. Steelag70 says:

    Yet still making the save…

  339. Drew71 says:

    From the Morning Thread…

    >> Mostly out of commission today because of the drive, which actually will begin shortly after this very filed is shut down for the night!

Looks like that very filed is indeed shut down for the night.

    No comments field.

  340. theplanisworking says:

    I blame myself for this.

I sat on their VW Bus, and crushed it.
They now have to drive back in a 1978 Pacer.

I would shut the comments field down too, if I had to ride in one of those………

  341. Ghost says:

Yeah, count me as another lunatic drifting through the Blog looking for a place to temporarily plop down until DK reopens for business.
So… this is what a hockey thread looks like. Alrighty then. Now I know why that hockey coach’s dog ran away.
