  1. That’s one way to solve the SS issue. Don’t start one!

Max “wager” is 100 units on any single line.
All “wagers” must be in multiples of 5 units.
Play as few or as many lines as you’d like.
As always, this is for fun and entertainment purposes.

    Today’s Line
Total EARNED RUNS ALLOWED by Brandon Cumpton in today’s game
    Line is 3.5
***Please Note this is EARNED RUNS, not total runs allowed***

Please Note – All games must be considered official games in order for line(s) to be valid. Any postponement, cancellation, or suspension of game(s) will void line(s).

    GOOD LUCK!!!

  3. Stolmy Pimentel promoted to Indy

  4. That starting line up wouldn’t scare a lethargic flea….Let alone Clayton Kershaw.

  5. I am going against the grain of the rookie and taking the under for today for 100.

  6. Mark Appel signed with the Astros today. Getting between $6-$6.5 million.

So basically his gamble paid off for him –he basically doubled his money

    • Brian T. Smith ‏@ChronAstros
Astros GM Jeff Luhnow said “nothing’s
changed” with Mark Appel talks in last 24 hours and sides don’t have a deal.

    • Depends on whether or not he’s successful.

If he flames out and never gets to free agency, he won big time.
If he’s as good as everyone thinks he is, then he gets +$2.5M now, but that’s offset by getting to arbitration and free agency a year later.

Personally, I’d rather be short the cash and be a year closer to the majors and my big pay day.

      • Devil Dog,

That’s why you raise dogs and Boras/Appel negotiate baseball contracts.

Appel gets to pitch close to home/family (he’s from Texas) and starts out $4 million more that he would have gotten from Pirates. Good risk!

        • You said it yourself below, Groat… Boras negotiates for Boras as much as he does for his clients. And anyone who signs with Boras knows what he’s getting, so Appel is clearly very happy with his decision.

There are a number of high draft picks who appear to agree with my assessment, though, that getting to the majors ASAP is more valuable than the upfront money… Just because Boras is VERY good at negotiating contracts does not mean he is getting the optimal outcome for his clients.

      • If it was up to me and I was going to get $3 million last year or $6 million this year, I would take the $6 million.

And I wouldn’t have to worry so much about flaming out or when I hit free agency.

    • Rumors!! Gossip!!

I do not believe Boras lets him sign this early for less than slot ($7,790,400) this early in process——Boras worries about how HE looks as agent. re: Pedro Alvarez re-negotiation.

I think Appel will sign before Deadline, unlike Pedro. But I think it will be close to $8 mill when he signs!

  7. Well, Dejan’s clock tells me it is 10:45.

I have about 4 hours of mowing to do before the game starts on TV. Looks like I still have plenty of time. I should be done mowing and trimming and still be on the couch with popcorn for the Pre-game easily.

    See yuns guys at 3:30.

  8. The system is flooded !!

  9. Nice way start an MLB career

  10. Hey! That Inge’s job.

  11. I will never understand why mgrs love to bunt with guy already in scoring position AND a very fast guy on base???

  12. We need to score runs off of Kershaw now

  13. My evil side expects a DP, now.

  14. Need to make some hay this inning

  15. This could be the year! What a lousy throw – this Dodger team is really out of sync.

  16. Need to keep it going.

How many times do folks talk about an Ace struggling in the first and then settling down?

  17. Maybe one of these days we will actually have a lineup that will be able to do SOMETHING against a top-shelf starter….holy crap….

  18. This game is over!

  19. Wow…am I the only one here? lol

  20. Here we go. Goofball Ellis got the glove to close. 2 on, no outs.

’bout time for another bunt, right?

  22. Wilson with 100 mph on the gun!. Think it is sustainable?

  23. The game in a nutshell..Dodgers are 3-7 WRISP, Buccos are 0-6…

  24. Ok….no more Kershaw…let’s do it….

  25. Come on Sanchez!! Make him throw strikes.

  27. Unbelieveable…

  28. Walker needs to give up hitting right-handed…

  29. Last chance….

  30. Way to go G.I,,,,,

  31. Tied game baby!!!! Travis Snider!!!!!

  33. Lunch box! He killed it!

  34. SNIDER!!!!!

  35. Dripping with power!

  36. He may only have 3 HR’s so far but they have all been clutch I think…

  37. Ok…time to end it…

  38. Come on Cutch….geeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  39. Come on Neil…..

  40. Pedro! Pedro!

  41. I know it’s one of those damned if you do, damned if you don’t situations, but they should’ve sent Martin. 2 outs, 10th inning? Force them to make a play.

    Bad decision by Leyva.

  43. Damn! Vin has hit a little rough patch in the past two weeks.

  44. Why is Grilli not in there??

  45. Dangit Vin!!!

  46. Giving up a hit to the likes of Punto there is a sure sign that you don’t have it today.

  47. Get him out of there!!

  48. Snider-Presley-Mercer….

  49. OK. Brandon League is very beatable. Hoist the colors – ramming speed!!

  50. Snider is Mr. Extra Innings!

  51. Good start…come on Presley…

  52. Not saying anything this time….

  53. Mercer can hit….come on Cutch….

  54. Ugghhh…good but bad…now they will walk Cutch…

  55. Come on Gaby

  56. OMG Cutch!!

  57. Cutch has become “No-Clutch”…

  58. Damn. Good rip but bad location. Good conversing with you Steelag.

  59. Another game we should not have lost…

  60. Lower the Jolly Hippo. :(

  61. The Cole Train vs. Greinke tomorrow. Could be a great one. I think if we scratch across 3 runs, there is a very good chance we take the rubber game and head out on the road 13 games over .500. I think the Giants lineup was tougher for Cole than this more free swinging one of the Dodgers.

Should be another sell-out, or very close to it. 110,000 for the weekend + approx. 70,000 vs. SF = 30,000 avg for the homestand. Slowly creeping back up toward last year’s numbers at the same point.

  62. Greinke tomorrow?…..Watch out for your heads.
