    Thanks, my fellow John!

  12. Patrick(ri) says:

There is a touching Father’s Day story in the Providence Journal ( which relates the details of Drew Sutton and his wife’s handling of the death of their newborn daughter in 2011. The writing does not equal our DK standards, but it will give you a different perspective of Sutton, and perhaps a tear or two. Sutton plays for Red Sox AAA team in Pawtucket.

  13. Drew71 says:

Let Thunder do it. He has a way with Dejan.

Or maybe he has HIS way with Dejan.

Happy Father’s Day to all my blog Dad buddies. Hope your day is great.
Gotta get myself busy, making stuffed shells for my outlaws ;)

  18. Sarah says:

Ykniw when I watch the Hawks they remind me a lot of the Pens….
Able to look ridiculously good for stretches….loaded with talent….then take their foot off the gas, and lunch bucket pluggers like BOS can get back in it.

I think this may be the Bruins series unless CHI can actually start playing 60 mins in one game (sounds familiar!)….

  19. hockeymonster says:

Yup I originally predicted boston in 5. You notice how boston kept their cool last night even after they hit a few posts? No hissy fits no running around out of position trying to chase the puck…and game 1 when Chicago was down a couple goals…same thing they kept their cool stayed in their trap formations when necessary and got back into the game.

Amazing what good coaching and mature leadership can do…

  20. Thundercrack says:

    Me too Jandy…me too.

  21. Sarah says:

It’s funny too, when you check the Hawks blogs, they are slamming JQ for line combos, having Bollig in there (toughness vs Stalbegs speed), inability to get anything on the PP.

All the same kinds of discussions we have re DB.

  22. Drew71 says:

    (Open wound. Insert salt.)

    Yeah. Funny.

    For all:

I posted this on the Buc thread.
You can place your bets over there.

  34. Sarah says:

Hah! Sorry Drew….I hear ya, it stings.

Ther are parallels….CHI stars not performing. Coach putting in physical guys not speed guys. PP sucking.

    I think Boston in 6.

  35. hockeymonster says:

Atleast they’re not having one defensive breakdown after another…I thought bollig going in smelled fishy too. They could’ve used stalberg in the OT’s.

  36. Sarah says:

Well I have not much followed the West….but yes it seems JQ is opting for the goal-less but more physical Bollig, over the speedier Stal….

Then Bollig contributes to the OT winner…so the hysteria ensues!

To me it was Chi ‘s speed that could make the difference….so a guy like Bollig would be lower on my list…..but JQ I guess has other plans….

  37. Dadtackular says:

    100 on 6-8

  38. hockeymonster says:

Ya for sure. It seems like boston forces you to think outside the box a bit. Usually teams that sit back as much as they do don’t have the firepower to make you pay on almost every mistake. You cant force anything against them and you gotta be prepared to win 1-0 or 2-1.

And considering how much trapping both teams are doing I think its encouraging that the games have been fast, intense AND entertaining. Maybe the pens should take note…
