  1. Well I guess tonight is when we find out what the Hawks are made of.

Are they serious contenders, or paper tigers, like another team we know??
    ;-D

Funny how Tuukka Rask stops being the next Ken Dryden with actual bodies near him. Joel Quenneville = Mad Scientist!

That was at 8:47, presumably after Chicago scored. And the Hawks haven’t scored in roughly 6 periods since… Poor buggers have been struck down by the Curse of DK.

  3. It’s Rask’s Conn Smythe to lose.

  4. Blackhawks have been outplayed in every game in this series. Fortunately, for them, they stole game 1 and still have a chance to right the ship if they get their act together. They should be down 3-0, and should be thankful they still have a decent chance to win this thing.

    • Hmmm…..I think they badly outplayed BOS for about the first 30 mins of Game 2….and but for a quick whistle on their 2nd goal might have won that one. But you’re right – the majority of play has been the Bruin’s. You could tell after 1 period last night that CHI wouldn’t put one in.

But it sure is intersting to see the parallels between them and the Pens….swarm/dominate for stretches but can’t finish.

Won’t get dirty in front often enough to give Rask trouble.

If you check the Hawks blogs, they’re having at Kane/Toewes just as we went after Crosby and Malkin for being outplayed….

And slaying JQ for everything we slayed DB for….poor line combos, lousy PP…sitting the wrong guys….blah blah blah…..

With the way the NHL calls the playoffs (whistle in pocket) it benefits teams like BOS and hurts speed/skill teams.

I am calling Bruins in 6.

  5. The quotes on HF are really quite amusing.
To wit (with minor updates LOL!)

Horrible game . So depressed. Quennville/Bylsma is a moron, the lines were a joke, the powerplay continues to be unfailingly horrible. Only silver lining was Crawford/Vokoun. Also I enjoyed watching Marchand get punched in the face.

Hawks/Pens will bounce back though, no way they play as ****** as they did tonight. They’ll win Game 4 and come home 2-2.

AND Quennville/BYLSMA STILL PUT TOGETHER THOSE **** SHOW LINES?????
