Comments

  1. Drew71 says:

    I don’t understand.

Neither of these teams is in the SEC.

  2. Wild Bill says:

The Big Ten portion begins. The over on this game might be about 75.

  3. Wild Bill says:

The under might be 65. I think PSU will try to run the ball as much as possible – to keep the D rested and because IU is very vulnerable to the run. Big rushing numbers today.

  4. Marc from Norwalk says:

Indiana is in the Big Ten, not the MAC

  5. Right, Drew and Indiana isn’t in the MAC either, although I understand why DK might think they are.

  6. They just play like it, Marc. At least in football.

  7. Joe says:

Count me as worried. A PSU loss here might send the season into a tailspin with Michigan, etc. on the horizon.

  8. theplanisworking says:

    Wait, is this Indiana(Pa.) ?

  9. theplanisworking says:

I thought Indiana(Pa.) was in the PSAC?

  10. theplanisworking says:

    Decisions, decisions.

This game, or some lawn darts.
There is a soccer match on at 12:30.

Or a nice nap in the community park down the street.

  11. theplanisworking says:

I just read Steve Miller turned 70 today.
Just may listen to his music.

  12. Drew71 says:

What a very unfortunate name for a conference.

  13. Wild Bill says:

Hippo, you and Drew brought the snark with you this morning. Thought happy Pirate fans would be more kind.

  14. Drew71 says:

After that ugly loss, the Rays have Price going today, and Cobb (11-3) at home on Monday.

Just as with the Pirates after AJ’s outing, don’t sleep on the Rays just yet.

Of course the Sox will have 12-1 Buchholz going Monday. And there will be plenty of red in the Rays’ awful little dome. Ought to be a great game, with lots of excitement if Price takes care of Game Two today.

  15. Drew71 says:

    Nothing personal.

    I live for snark.

  16. Drew71 says:

I don’t want to speak for Plan but he’s just kinda nuts.

(Go ahead. Deny it. I dare you.)

  17. Might as well be. They’d give them a better game.

Indiana lost to Navy, which lost to Western KY. (Sun Belt)

Not good for their bowl resume.

  18. theplanisworking says:

The Pirates have the Shark, Drew and I have the Snark.

Besides, I thought the Pirates played in Conference USA?

Drew and I are just having some fun.
Now if he brings the poodles in, then its on. ;)

  19. theplanisworking says:

    Hey, great idea.
    I could watch bowling today………….. ;)

  20. theplanisworking says:

    No de-Nile here.

Which type of nut I am, is still up for debate.

  21. Or do lawn work.

Or go to South Dakota to shovel snow.

    Or watch paint dry.

  22. theplanisworking says:

    Or plant a winter garden.

    Enjoy your day, Mr. Reverend.

  23. Drew71 says:

    Another nonsequitur baseball thought.

No matter how hurt their MVP is, I wouldn’t want to have to face Detroit’s top three pitchers in a short series. Especially when they are lined up in the order they want and well rested.

  24. theplanisworking says:

One last thing before I go plant my winter garden, then take my nap in the park……….

Johnny Fooooootball had his autograph $$$ stuff.
Now, AleeBamee has its Ha Ha Clinton-Dix scandal.
Last month, it was another AleeBamee player getting caught.

Nice to see the Supremely Excellent Cheaters conference living up to its name.
And just think, if they are catching these palyers/coaches, just imagine how much isnt being caught. Scary.

Everyone have a great day. No Pirates, no Steelers, no Pitt.
    Try to survive. ;)

  25. You, also, brother Plan.

  26. Good point.

Good pitching beats lousy hitting every day.

  27. On a totally different note…I LOVELOVELOVE that Craig Adams leads the Pens in goals & points after one game. (Even if it’s only alphabetically)

  28. Good column today.

    No cute, cuddly overachievers here.

DK needs to post a link to it on blog central.

  29. Arriba Wilver says:

    True. This is not 1997.

  30. Drew71 says:

    I thought EYE was cuddly.

  31. But you’re not an overachiever.

  32. Wild Bill says:

Okay, you guys can go have a snooze. I’m watching my alma mater get after some Hoosiers!

  33. JAL says:

Nice link merging video from Pirate’s win over the Reds in WC game with Pirates radio announcing of the game

    https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10100271008778382

  34. Wild Bill says:

May have found something to hold the score down – called rain.

  35. Excellent. Worth the 6:27 to watch again.

  36. Arriba Wilver says:

Good news for the “don’t start AJ in game 5 crowd.” (No offense intended). Sanserino is reporting that Clint said they aren’t prepared to name a Game 5 starter. So it’s not DEFINITELY going to be AJ.

  37. The new open-minded, playoff-managing Clint.

  38. Wild Bill says:

Congratulations to IU. Great game by th Hoosiers. An ugly one by PSU.

  39. Jason81 says:

Have a feeling it’s going to be tough sledding in the Big Ten for the Lions this year. Depth is going to be a major issue and the weakness in the secondary is going to continue to be exploited by teams with much better weapons that what even Indiana had today.

  40. Thundercrack says:

You know me, I just hope nobody says anything bad about Clint.

  41. bizrow says:

    That’s two of us

    Is your lucky hat ready?

  42. Arriba Wilver says:

No worries. It’s not allowed. ;-)

  43. Original Ether says:

Guess these are O’Brien’s Lions, huh?
