  1. Big game in the ACC tonight.

    Once again, this isn’t it.

  2. And I see there’s a boatload of interest in this game.

  3. I’m interested. Also interested in seeing the ODU quarterback.

But I’d prefer talking about Lambo. ;-)

  4. Interesting game for Pitt.

FCS schools always a trap game, it seems like. ODU not in the FCS top 25 but have a decent QB. This would be a bad loss for Pitt. Hope they get it done.

I can recall some decent basketball seasons at Old Dominion. Justin Verlander went to school at ODU.

  5. Ok… I get it. I know PITT is rebuilding but this is year two and this is the best game plan Chryst and his staff can come up against ODU?

    This is absolutely pathetic.

  6. Old Dominion 10 Pitt 0 End of 1Q

  7. TD PITT!

    Nice run for Bennett.

Chryst needs to keep running the ball with him and Conner, quick throws to Boyd, and play-action rollout passes to TEs.

If they call any 5 or 7 step drops for Savage, he’ll brain cramp like Tino Sunseri and get sacked.

  8. Isaac Bennett scampers for 25 yards and the touchdown capping a good drive by Pitt to make it 10-7.

  9. Just a quick hello. Hubby in Lowe’s and I’m in the truck with the dogs lol

  10. The longer Pitt allows this ODU team hang around, it could be very, very bad.

  11. Catch yinz tomorrow!

  12. Bennett, 127 yards rushing, 3 touchdowns. :)
    Is Connor injured?

  13. Natural hat trick for Bennett…..

    oh damn… wrong sport

  14. Didn’t know Ryan Clark was dressed at safety for Pitt…

  15. Pitt spots the Monarchs 10 and then proceeds to score 21. Sir Isaac Bennett with all the touchdowns

It’s halftime at Ketchup, hold the mustard, field and your Pitt Panthers lead 21-10.

  16. I watch the entire pre-game ceremony for the FSU-Clemson game at Death Vslley.

    Oh my.

However the game turns, that was one of the most impressive non-sports sports moments.

i usually roll my eyes at pre-game stuff. But boy that was something. .

Though so far it appears to be having zip effect on the Seminoles. I told my son that if FSU survives the first Q, they should pull away by the third. Didn’t know I was being conservative.

    10-0 Tallahassee Rednecks, first Q.

  17. I’m pulling for FSU, Alabama AND Oregon to end the season undefeated.

Then they’ll HAVE to expand the BCS.

    Oh wait…

    • Baylor, Missouri and Ohio State also undefeated.

      • Left them off on purpose. Missouri will play Alabama if they stay undefeated. The other two wont have as serious a claim as the Big Three.

But if the SEC, PAC 12 and ACC champs are undefeated following their conference championship games, all three will have very valid claims.

I used to root for chaos like this to make a point about the BCS. But now that the BCS is about to die, I’d hate to see one of those teams left out.

Tangent Pet Peeve Alert: when people have said: “the BCS stinks, we need a playoff”, that always drove me NUTS.

The BCS is a playoff. Just a stupid, limited, two-team playoff.

MLB for DECADES had nothing but the two-team World Series. And yet no one suggests that MLB before 1969 didnt have playoffs until they expanded to four teams.

        I feel better.

        • I never had a problem with how college football did things, really. Grew up a big college football fan. I like going to the games. I like bowl games. I love meaningful “regular season” games. I never really cared who won the national championship, quite frankly. Wasn’t that important to me. Just like I never really cared who won the Heisman. For me it was following the rivalries, the traditions, the conference titles. Bowl games are just fun to watch over the holidays with the family all around.

Kinda like the EPL. Fans of that league love the individual games and rivalries. It doesn’t have any playoffs at all.

I get the clamor and the ESPN noise but college football playoffs arn’t going to make me anymore of fan.

          I feel better, too!

  18. nice play by Savage to buy himself time

  19. 0-0 Red Sox-Leylands.

What to watch: Scherzer has thrown 47 pitches and has six outs. Not to mention two on, none out in the bottom of the third.

Lots of Scherzer pitches = Tigers bullpen = Sox advantage.

  20. Few thoughts switching channels:

Wisconsin looks like they’ll be in a shootout with Illinois.

Notre Dame up 14-10 at half against Southern Cal. I liked SC in this game. One of my favorite college games of the year.

No score in Boston in Game 6. Just would note that there is nobody in sports broadcasting more overrated than Erin Andrews.

    Pitt now leads 28-17.

  21. Pitt’s defense is some of the worst scheming that I’ve ever seen…

middle of field is WIDE OPEN

  22. Pitt hanging on now at 28-24.

  23. Scherzer: 54 pitches thru three innings.

That might be the stat that matters most. Tigers bullpen is their weakness.

  24. Joyner, FSU, pulls down an INT and breaks Clemson’s heart as they were driving.

Earlier he forced two fumbles. Kind of a good game.

24-7 Noles, who are driving again.

  25. I feel for Milo, one of the 10,000 in attendance.

  26. Let’s Go Leylands!

  27. Victorino grand slam in the 7th…..what a game.

  28. Hail to PITT
    (…in spite of themselves)
