  1. Dave G says:

Is this where we talk Pirates baseball?

  2. Dave G says:

    (Hi Frank?)

  3. JohninOshkosh says:

Holy Smokes-a thread for the World Series.

I better go read Revelations again.

DK: All three major pro sports championships have gotten threads for as long as I can recall.

Let me know how this championship turns out.

  4. Karen22 says:

    HI! :)

If it’s baseball, I’m all ears!

Rooting for the Sox – ONLY because Brian Butterfield’s (3rd base coach) sister is a friend.

Hope you loonies are staying all warm & fuzzy – the “S”-Word is in the forecast!

  5. Thundercrack says:

I really don’t like the Cardinals. But I just cannot bring myself to root for a team from Boston. Especially not the Red Sox. Especially not David Ortiz.

If Tony LaRussa was still managing the Cardinals then I would definitely not pay one bit of attention to the series.

I would rather watch that other sport – six letters, begins with S.

  6. JohninOshkosh says:

You’ll have to rely on someone else to let you know, Dejan. I feel no compelling reason to watch this either.

  7. Nor Cal Stlrfanrtc (Ryan) says:

    Boston Strong in 6…….

No really, the Cards win this one, but there’s a local kid on the Sox that I’d like to see do well, I heard he was a pretty good ball player.

Can’t pronounce his name but his first name is Dustin, I think he’s the 2nd baseman.

  8. Nor Cal Stlrfanrtc (Ryan) says:

    Local to me, not Pixburgh

  9. theplanisworking says:

So we can expect threads for Badminton, Table Tennis, and the final game week of the EPL?

    Just asking……….

  10. theplanisworking says:

Baseball season ended 2 weeks ago. :)

  11. JohninOshkosh says:

    Poor NBA.

  12. theplanisworking says:

    HA!!!

  13. JohninOshkosh says:

    Skiing ?

  14. theplanisworking says:

    Karen, you need an intervention.
As of 2 weeks ago, baseball season ended.

Tonight starts 7 games of media darlings and fawning.
Spring training starts in about 120 days.

    :)

  15. 21sthebest says:

“Let me know how this championship turns out.”

Let me know when the hockey playoffs start. I really hope the Penguins get in. :-)

  16. Karen22 says:

It ain’t over till it’s over, Mr. Plan!

    I loooove baseball.

  17. theplanisworking says:

    Just funnin, Karen.

I just have no interest in it, thats all.
    Hope you enjoy the games.
    Oh, and
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    :D

  18. JohninOshkosh says:

Excellent “Nature” on PBS about cross-species relationships.

  19. Arriba Wilver says:

You mean like hockey players and baseball players and football players?

  20. Dom says:

3-0 Boston. The Sox already did more damage to Wainwright than we did in all of game 5 of the ALDS

  21. Dom says:

How about that catch by Beltran?

He robbed Ortiz of a grand slam, which would have ended game one.

  22. Wild Bill says:

Breaking news, everybody. The Cardinals defense reeks.

  23. Wild Bill says:

Can’t agree that was a great catch, Dom. He got there, that’s all.

  24. Drew71 says:

Could be worse. Could be soccer.

  25. Chuck H says:

Red Sox won game 1, but hold on, we have a young Cardinal pitcher who says that
Boston pitcher was greasing up the ball with Vasollene. Of all the dumb statements to
make, that is the dumbest. The Red Sox don’t need to use any substance on the ball to
beat the crybaby Cardinals. In fact, I say they were lucky to beat the Pirates, who
unfortunately forgot how to hit at the wrong time. We will have to work on that next
    season. GO,BUCS!!!
