  3. Just for Jandy and Plandy, I’m not going to mention the 1-3-1 or anything about it hindering the scoring in any way.

  6. Eric Bowser says:

Looking forward to see if Malkin finally says screw you to Sid and Ovi and finally dominates a game between these two teams.

    Sound gap control
    drive the net
    shoot the puck
    no stupid turnovers
    hard backchecks
stay out of the penalty box

    Easy game plan, eh?

    Let’s Go Pens

  7. Pucknutz says:

  8. Eric Bowser says:

Just for that, no soup for you!

  9. Pucknutz says:

    LOL Eric,
I hollered drop the puck before I saw your game plan.
    Ya , it might work.
Would also like to see Geno explode tonight, make Ovi look sick !
Hoping to get a bowl of borstch – more please.

  10. Milo Hamilton says:

The Caps just played with 6 players for about 30 seconds.

  11. Eric Bowser says:

    1-0 Pens

    Paul Martin from point….

  12. Dom says:

Paul Martin with an amazing goal!

  13. theplanisworking says:

  14. Eric Bowser says:

    Cycle, cycle, shoot.

    Much better than, cycle-cycle-cycle-turnover

  15. Pucknutz says:

    Good eye Milo….
How the heck you spot that on TV ?

  16. Wild Bill says:

Pens are playing really well right now. No jinx.

  17. Pucknutz says:

Ya , Pens gettin some zone time here..

  18. Milo Hamilton says:

Lange & Bourque right on it. Nobody noticed it.

  19. Jandy says:

    Good stuff, Biz!

  20. Eric Bowser says:

Great breakout… passing and what a shot by Bennett!!!

    2-0 Pens

  21. Jandy says:

haha Spunky, go ahead, go for it ;)

  22. Wild Bill says:

    Beau for dough!!

  23. Jandy says:

It’s a Dom sighting! Where the heck ya been, friend?

  24. Jandy says:

    woop woop!

  25. Eric Bowser says:

gotta admit, I missed it too

  26. Pucknutz says:

    Sniper shot Go Beau.
    Picked that corner real nice!

  27. Dom says:

    Beau knows…how to shoot!

Anyone get the Bo Jackson reference from the 90s?

  28. Jandy says:

Where’s Monster Mash when Martin scores? ;)

  29. Jandy says:

how the heck the refs miss that???

  30. Dom says:

Just busy. I’d never abandon the greatest blog in the world.

  31. hockeymonster says:

    PMs metrics on fire!!!

  32. Jandy says:

    Good to see you!

  33. Jandy says:

    hey, there he is :)

  34. Dom says:

I’ve been checking the blog every so often but cats got my tongue.

  35. Jandy says:

    Get that kitty gone ;)

  36. theplanisworking says:

I cant believe how nice Washington’s ice looks.

  37. Iceman says:

Great breakout on the Bennett goal. Something we’ve all been calling for. Also, Malkin with another assist.

Ho hum, he stinks and we should trade him *sarcasm*

  38. J Walter Weatherman says:

Nothing like a Pens power play to take away their momentum. Malkin obviously doesn’t listen to himself or DK

  39. Jandy says:

  40. Milo Hamilton says:

Tigers trade Prince Fielder to Texas for Ian Kinsler.

  41. Iceman says:

Why does Malkin not shoot there?!?!?

  42. Pucknutz says:

    Ah, that splains it.
You are synced w/Lange, ( gotta get that sync thing)
I can take Doc, but Pierre just grates…

  43. Jandy says:

    hahahaha! Good one, Hipposter!

  44. Dom says:

Malkin sure is pass happy. No wonder his goals are down and assists are up.

  45. J Walter Weatherman says:

I think my head just exploded.

  46. Jandy says:

    Ewwww..clean up the mess ;)

  47. Eric Bowser says:

I guess Malkin wants to be Joe Thornton

  48. Milo Hamilton says:

    Craig Janney.

  49. hockeymonster says:

Gibby has jump…still looking to see if he’s an upgrade over connor or megna.

  50. theplanisworking says:

    Say what???

  51. Wild Bill says:

If we can avoid more unnecessary stick fouls, this game might stay nice for the good guys.

  52. Jandy says:

Me too…I like Megna…but I’ll keep an open mind.

  53. hockeymonster says:

Best period all season if not for PIMs

  54. Pucknutz says:

    Don’t rub it in Plan….
Still waiting on an “official” explanation…
So far Milo has it well simplified … but I need a bit more..

  55. Iceman says:

He scored a goal. He is an upgrade over Connor.

  56. Jandy says:

WTH is Jeremy Roenick wearing???? YUCK!

  57. Purple Moose says:

    Newnan Georgia

  58. Jandy says:

Thanks for checking in, Purple One :)

    Did ya catch that, Biz?

  59. hockeymonster says:

Point iceman…although geno made gibby look like brownie on that one. :)

  60. pattonbb says:

I like it. Detroit gets a 2B and frees up money for Sherzer. Texas gives the position to Profar and gets to watch Prince sweat like a pig.

  61. theplanisworking says:

Where has effort like that been all year?

Obviously, ;) , thats needs to continue.

  62. And that he will in the Arlington heat.

  63. Milo Hamilton says:

You could have stopped after WTH is Jeremy Roenick ????

  64. Jandy says:

  65. Jandy says:

    True Milo, LOL!

  66. Dom says:

No complaints about the changeup in lines for me.

  67. theplanisworking says:

    Is he Waldo’s cousin?

  68. theplanisworking says:

    Is he Waldo’s cousin?

  69. Jandy says:

If he is, I feel sorry for Waldo!

  70. Milo Hamilton says:

    James Neal is so close.

  71. theplanisworking says:

  72. Barb says:

Hi all. The Pens are looking fine tonight. I hope they play like this Friday when I finally get to go to a game.

  73. Jandy says:

Hey Barb! I hope we win tonight AND Friday :)

  74. Milo Hamilton says:

    Not liking this at all.

  75. Jandy says:

I was thinking the same thing

  76. J Walter Weatherman says:

It’s called the “Left Wing Unlock”

  77. Eric Bowser says:

Pens PP continues to be a wreck.

They have more talent than any other team’s PP and this is the crap we see.

Once again, momentum skips the Pens after PP and goes to opponent.

  78. Pucknutz says:

Gettin a little sloppy here guys….

  79. J Walter Weatherman says:

One of the things I like about Maatta is he gets his shots on goal, unlike our right-handed shooting defensemen.

  80. J Walter Weatherman says:

Malkin was a disaster on that last power play. He deserves to be demoted to the second PP unit for the rest of the game.

  81. hockeymonster says:

Cuz the standard is the standard

  82. J Walter Weatherman says:

I think I’d be a little upset if I were a Tigers fan. Maybe the Pirates can get Cabrera for Tabata.

  83. Dom says:

    ANOTHER phenomenal save by Fleury

  84. Barb says:

    Hi Jandy.

  85. Bizrow says:

Can anyone explain to me why Dejan is such an angry fellow?

  86. Bizrow says:

  87. Dom says:

Why whatever do you mean? I always thought he was a very nice man.

  88. Pucknutz says:

  89. Iceman says:

    Connor prob blows it.

  90. Barb says:

  91. J Walter Weatherman says:

    That was amazing

  92. Dom says:

  93. hockeymonster says:

    Oh my

  94. Eric Bowser says:

    PP goal… GASP!

    what a passing play

  95. Jandy says:

I don’t think he was being downright ignorant, Biz, but at times he has a chip on his shoulder.

  96. JohninOshkosh says:

Pens just gave us a glimpse of the great team they are.

  97. Wild Bill says:

Sweet and deflating goal right before the end of the period.

  98. Jandy says:

    woop woop!

  99. Barb says:

    Yes – Tic Tac Toe!!!!

  100. Jandy says:

    well said oshie!

  101. Wild Bill says:

Deflating for the Caps, that is.

  102. Barb says:

    What day is it?!?!?!?!? :)

  103. Jandy says:

you have to read the thread on the A + B = TD column

  104. Jandy says:

And Biz, we have a Loonie added up there

  105. Jandy says:

    Hump Day! YEAH! lol

  106. theplanisworking says:

Which due to lack of effort, and stubbornness, we dont see nearly enough.

  107. Jandy says:

    Oh yours….lol

  108. Eric Bowser says:

Letang went 5 minutes without a shift in 2nd period, then the last 3:34 of 2nd period, saw the last 29 seconds of period and did not get on the PP.

  109. theplanisworking says:

  110. Barb says:

Okay Jandy I have to agree with you on Roenick. He must have gotten dressed in the dark or blindfolded.

  111. Jandy says:

LOL! I’m glad somebody besides me and Milo noticed!

  112. Jandy says:

    This is good

  113. theplanisworking says:

    Maybe he interned under Cherry?

  114. Barb says:

  115. Jandy says:

That would explain a lot Hipposter lol

  116. Barb says:

Fleury is standing on his head to make those saves. Love It.

  117. Barb says:

    Jimmy my boy scored!

  118. theplanisworking says:

  119. Milo Hamilton says:

James Neal. I believe I had that.

  120. Dom says:

James Neal. This is getting tiresome! ;)

  121. theplanisworking says:

I will be sure to let him know that…… ;)

  122. theplanisworking says:

    And Prince Fielder.

Can I send you my lottery money and you can play the numbers? ;)

  123. Jandy says:

    Indeed you did Milo!

  124. Jandy says:

Tell that friggin Crapital to pick on someone his own size ;)

  125. Milo Hamilton says:

This just came up on the radio. In 1988-89 Mario Lemieux scored 85 goals on only 313 shots – an amazing 27.2%. He was ridiculous.

  126. Barb says:

Well all I am wilting here fast sooo I will be calling it an evening.

  127. Jandy says:

    Night barb!

  128. Milo Hamilton says:

    #25 for Fleury.

  129. hockeymonster says:

…and that’s how I expect team USA to look too!!! Sid n geno your going down! :)

  130. Wild Bill says:

Great game – thought Martin and Orpik were tremendous.

  131. theplanisworking says:

    Very impressive win tonight.

Since the third period of the Anaheim game, this team has clicked on all cylinders. Good effort, toughness in the corners, no goofy stretch passes……… things the lunatics here have been calling for.

If they keep this up, worries will be few.
If they slack, the problems will return.
    They CAN do it.

    Good night all. :)
    4AM comes early for jandy………….

  132. theplanisworking says:

  133. Dom says:

That’s why some people on this blog feel he’s the greatest pen of all time.

  134. Jandy says:

    yes it does…Night :)

  135. Well, Malkin still didn’t score last night, but then, I guess we can’t have everything.
