  1. YAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought maybe Macy’s kidnapped DK for a window display!

    CRASH THE NET !!!!
    FIRE BYLSMA !!!!

  2. Lets Go Pens !

    Whew….. I feel much better now !!!

  3. where can you find + – ratings? I was wondering about Letang.

  4. Borts in the lineup?
I have to go lie down…..

  5. ..but Letang back on the PP?……

  6. Wow — these guys are flying around the ice – are we gonna have another wack em and hack em run and gun again tonight ???

  7. Nice try, Borts!

  8. Gibbons sure can skate fast for a Hobbit :)

  9. Nice stick on puck by PM there

  10. Nice save there by Brooksie

  11. “Snow in the crease” – whadda ya think Sarah ??????

    • Lol….I hate snow in my face!!! Happens sometimes…

      • Nah, – Bobby was saying that the “pile” of snow that accumulates in the blue by the end of the period slowed that puck down enough for Brooks to clear it – clean ice – maybe it trickles in?

        • Oh yah maybe…..some Gs will purposely stack it up around the posts to stop tricklers….can save you sometimes! Sorry I turnoff Steigy/Errey!! Can’t take’em…..

  12. Kunitz is wearing the captain A and Orpik without tonight, ever reported why?

  13. Has anyone heard what injury Bennett has? Website said DB said he’s out for more than days….wth?

  14. Guess my post was lost….

and now it looks like Fleury was… or was that Tommy Barrasso?

  15. Well I guess Maataa will be on a bus back to Ontario.

  16. 1-0 Bad Guys.

For as much publicity that Philthadelphia gets as a house of horrors for the Pens, montreal has been far worse over the years. Think about that.

    • They’re physical and they have understood the stretch pass.
We can’t beat Price from the perimeter.
And as usual one bad TO is in our net.

  17. we’re freakin snakebitten tonight

  18. Sid geno n kuni time

  19. Great to see the Pens playing undisciplined, and not thinking tonight.
Add in the shots from the blue line, and you get what we see tonight.

    Maddening team.
Million dollar talents, 10 cent heads.

  20. Ginormous open lane for that shot. Good lord.

  21. Brian Gionta dives, acts injured, and whines more than any player in the NHL.

  22. They are toying w us.

  23. Both teams played last night, so the Pens cant use that excuse.
    Just simply undisciplined play.
    Coaches have no answers.

I picked the wrong week to give up quaaludes………… ;)

  24. Kinda think they’re playing well actually. Gotta shoot high though. Goals are there. 3 out of 4 last GA are self inflicted.

  25. How did the Pens get another penalty?
    I missed that……

  26. PP after PP….

  27. Sorry but JJ is awful on Malkins line tonight.
Missing BB more than we know….

  28. Serious question: Subban for Letang…would you take that swap?

  29. Good evening all. Had a very enjoyable evening last night at the game. It was great to see Geno finally score a goal and see The Kid do the same. Wow. Now we need them to pick up their game tonight.

  30. Bodacious Barb! You caught an entertaining game last night…good to see you here :)

  31. Speaking of PK, still waiting for Disco to find a way to get Sid even one shift away from the guy.

  32. Plays behind the d are there too. Cross corner murphy dumps are our friend.

  33. well…forget it..

  34. Gang these are the types of teams we need to find a way to beat when it counts.
    Not NYI, not even WSH.

  35. well, we’re not skunked :)

  36. Awful pass by Letang up the boards to Malkin . . . turnover . . . goal.

Whoever started the Letang for Subban discussion, would make that trade in an NY minute.

Playing too soft on PK all night.

Has anyone else noticed how bad Sid has been on face-offs lately, particularly in D-zone? And thinking pass all night as well. Not good.

  37. Sutter needs the Gary Roberts School of Off-Season Conditioning.

Seems too content on what he is and not bothered by the fact he could be much better.

  38. Los Pingüinos need a goal to make the finish interesting!

  39. Well crap. Another end of a game penalty.

  40. Not Neal’s best game

  41. Did I just see Player of the game James neal???

  42. Maybe it just seems this way, but I swear Sid was 0-6 on his last 6 face-offs.

Will look for the stats later.

  43. Well, I know some will say “we didnt bury our chances”.
If the Pens didnt give this game away, it wouldnt come down to that.
    But, that’s hockey, I guess. ;)

There are many games left in the regular season……….. and many more opportunities for me to quickly read Brandie’s mind ! ;)

Good night everyone, be safe in the snow, and ……………

  44. Disappointment on so many levels. At least I was the majority of the blog traffic on the Penn State thread. Good night!

  45. Two points:

Cannot have your best player breaking free between two Canadiens with a clean shot on net and then kicking the puck backwards to someone he believes may be there but isn’t.

Letang is incapable of a consistent one-timer on net. We saw the bad result again early in Period 1. When you have a trigger man on PP who needs to settle the puck, you have a major flaw in your game.

  46. They’re fine. Maatta got carried away but too many fixable mistakes from letang repeating. Getting old. Overall they’re moving puck well. Can’t win em all.

    • Not worried about Maatta. Quick learner. Likely believes this loss is totally on him right now.

Two positives, Neal starting to finding a rhythm and Geno dominating again.

  47. The Pens have got to keep scoring goals, not slack off again like they did last night versus Montreal, when only James Neal did anything.
