  1. WOOOOOOOOOO!!!
    LETS GO PITT !!!!!!!!!!

  2. DK

Your chat is the best in town!

  3. Oh no, Tim Neverett.

  4. This game isn’t on tv? That’s odd.

  5. To this day, I still think of Hank Gathers when Loyola-Marymount is mentioned.

  6. Timeout at 7:51 Panthers up by 4

    25-21

  7. Well as we watch this fast paced, high scoring opening half of play to this point, wanted to sift through some early season rankings and numbers of note.

Currently the undefeated Panthers are ranked 4th in the kenpom ratings, 6th in the Sagarin rankings and 30th in the human polls as they inch closer to cracking the Top 25.

Pitt has an RPI of 22-30 depending on site and a SOS of 147 which is actually better than three ranked teams UCLA, Oregon and Kentucky.

  8. This team continues to demonstrate how unselfish basketball leads to good looks, great passing and finding the open teammate in many cases around the basket has opened up this ten point lead.

    • Looked good coming out of that timeout. They had a big 2d half against the Nittany Lions the other night as well. Players are responding to Dixon’s adjustments.

  9. Nearly 20-point lead. Another good win for Pitt.

  10. And Pitt improves to 9-0 downing LMU by 17 with another balanced scoring attack as four Panthers score double digits and Robinson and Patterson were right behind with nine points each. Pitt shoots better than 50% in the victory. Pitt was out rebounded 37-35 so something for coach Dixon to work on.

Pitt is off until next Saturday when Youngstown St pays a visit to the Pete. After that it is a date with Cinci in the Jimmy V Classic and games with Cal Poly and Albany before ACC play begins.

  11. Pitt players have been saying that one big motivation so far has been that the team has yet to be ranked, although we all know that won’t happen until the Panthers have proven themselves versus more notable opposition.
