    BEAT MIKE YO!!!!!!!!

And, 16 feet of snow on Oshie for rooting for the Wild!

And, lets go 1-3-1 (for Lucky).
    And, SCIRE!!! (for Brandie).

    • What? No FIRE BYLSMA????

      • He has been doing better recently, especially with all the injuries/suspensions.
And, I have been quick to acknowledge this.

So he is safe for now………. but if he “dummies up” again, he is fair game.

        • LOL! Yes, you have said he is doing better. Any coach is always fair game ;)

          • I love that Micha avi. Much better than Mother T. Looks ornery like her grandma.

But we’re all beautiful in God’s eyes. (Some much prettier in man’s though). No offense to the leathery saint. Scripturally, even her feet are beautiful. The Bible says “how beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news that our God reigns.” Isaiah 52:7, paraphrased by me and a song. And she brought the good news.

            • No mention of the 1-3-1 in the Scriptures. ;)

“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.” — Proverbs 31:30.

Remember this the next time an ugly Nun hits your fingers.

            • Thanks Spunky, just saw this….Mischa is adorable, if i say so myself :)

          • I thought catechism was Weds nights?

  2. Oh no…. I’m not letting this little thing (coaching AHL team) change my opinion of Bylsma’s work come playoff time. He’s doing great but I want to see this in April, May and June.

Fleury is the team MVP but again, it will come down to April, May and June for him as well.

    • Tell us how you really feel.

      • Red Alert:
I’m sick… no thanks to my wife and tomorrow is my birthday…. yeah, I’m peachy.

        • Happy Birthday, Eric ! Many more. Presents on the 20th and, still more, just 5 days later !

          • Oshie, my Sixers tried to guarantee they wouldnt win another game this year today.

There were rumors there was supposed to be a trade…… Omir Asik to Philly for Spencer Hawes and a 1st round pick. Asik is injured, and Hawes is one of Philly’s only good players. They didnt want to send the pick to Houston.

If this trade would have gone through, Philly wouldnt have won another game this year.

        • Happy Birthday.
          Dont fire Bylsma tomorrow!

  3. Megna out 6 weeks with lower body injury…. love new medical discoveries

    Zatkoff starts in goal

  4. Just got fired today from the job I hated. Will find out when I can start the job I have had since summer.

  5. LETS GO PENS!!!

Hi Guys and gals – lookin for a good game tonight – hopein the JV can carry on!!!

  6. Penguins 5-2 against the west.

Wild goalie Josh Harding on IR. Niklas Backstrom in goal.

  7. Wow! THAT didnt take long.

    1-0 Good guys!

  8. That one looked good even before the Juggling act!!!!

  9. That didn’t take long, Bortuzzo knocks Cooke to ice

…even better, Backstrom fumbles the puck and Dupuis whacks the puck into the net.

    1-0 Pens

  10. Pens muscled that goal in against Backstrom.

  11. Let’s give some credit to Olli Maatta for joining the rush and getting a tough shot on goal.

    This kid is good.

  12. Why are these two teams fighting ?

  13. Quick, more ice packs.

  14. Crowd eating it up. So tiresome. No flow to this game whatsoever.

  15. Clean hit, let’s fight… stupid.

  16. Here’s an idea……….. lets not play hockey. Dont try to score.
Lets just fight all night, until there is no one left.

Then we can pick snowflakes out of a hat to determine the winner of the game.

    GENIUS !

  17. Christmas needs to come soon so Michael Bolton can go away. As Don Imus put it, “Sounds like a cat with his tail stuck in a blender.”

  18. Errey with some questionable choice of words while doing commentary there

  19. This game is what the NHL has degenerated into. Makes your eyes bleed.

  20. First period score 1-0 Pens.

    1 goal, 2 fights.
    YAY !

  21. Too much looking for that perfect pass at the end of the period. Put the puck on net. What do they have to loose?

  22. This game is….nodding off…a…must not fall asleep…turkey.

    P to the U.

  23. Mild outhit the Penguins in that 1st period 10-5. I live by a very simple axiom – home team gets outhit, home team loses. Should never be outhit in your own building.

  24. Nice interview with Cooke during intermission on Fox Sports North. Called Pens fans “a great fan base.”

  25. Time to watch quality programming………

    Charlie Brown Christmas.
I will report if there are any fights. :)

  26. If the refs don’t know the rules, why are they even on the friggin ice????

  27. Nice work by Vitale there.

  28. 3-0 Good Guys. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Back to Chuck Brown. ;)

  29. 3-0 Good Guys. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Back to Chuck Brown. ;)

  30. 3 goals against the Wild. It’s a Christmas miracle.

  31. Kunitz hanging in front of the net made that goal ! We got one guy that ain’t afraid of the net front!

  32. Maybe Letang should take some lessons from Niskanen

  33. Zach Parise’s stats
last year with the Devils 82 games 31g 38a 69p
    with the Wild 83 games 33g 32a 65p

    Had your chance bud.

  34. These refs are friggin clueless…what an embarrassment

  35. Well, the officiating is nothing but consistent from night to night. Consistently awful, that is.

    • well said Milo!

    • Well …. it ain’t changed in 40 years… always has been … prolly always will be.
But they always seem to make the “make up call”
Does that make it right??? That’s hockey.
Any game, any sport, always some marginal calls.

      • Yup, in the long run, things tend to even out. At some point in the season the Pens will have some calls go their way when they shouldn’t.

  36. We are very lucky that James Neal is not seriously hurt. Dirty play by Ballard. Neal was justified going after him there.

  37. Good Job, Nealer, Ballard is an azzmunch

  38. absolutely ridiculous that Neal is fighting. Taking a chance at breaking his hand after all the injuries this team has is ludicrous speed!

  39. Anyone seen Oshkosh ? John ?

  40. That was a simply amazing pass by Sid to Kunie

  41. Poop. WIld scores

  42. Next year, I want Snoopy and the gang to decorate my tree.

  43. Olli Maata and Matt Niskanen are both +3.

  44. Thank you all for your support.

  45. As bad as Kunitz is at shootouts is as good he is at finishing.

    Pure gold.

  46. Fatigue is setting in.

  47. MATTA FOR PREZ !!!!!!!!

  48. Short handed score! BEAKER!!!!! PENALTY SHOT!!!!!!!

  49. Ya Plan watch your Charlie Brown…
    Kill a 5 on 3 … Ollie w/ a rare penalty shot…. score..
    Real boring hockey….

    • Hey, Puckz……..
The Charlie Brown thing was over almost an hour ago.
I didnt watch it because the game was boring, ok?
And, I saw the penalty shot.

The other night, you came after me, when I was having a discussion with someone else.
      What is your general problem?
      Besides causing trouble, that is.

      • Hey Plan… no offence was ever intended.
I was joking …. lame as it may have been… maybe did not put the right emoticons up.
That said — we are just two different personality’s – I am a glass half full type guy. I see you (right or wrong) as a “glass half empty” type. (absolutely no offence intended) just different outlooks.
I will admit to Jaggin or pokin ya on occasion …. but I am just having some fun agreeing to disagree – please never take anything I post as personal – even if I do not word things just right.
Good blog… good people…I an’t wantin to start no sh$$.
patronizing”- ok bad choice of words— but hey it’s a blog — sometimes the fingers get ahead of the brain.
Looking forward to having some sparkling repartee with you in the future!!! :)

    • Oh, and you are being “patronizing”.

  50. What a smile, eh? :)

  51. Sorry. Had to drop in a Christmas party. Made my appearance. Middle aged people getting inebriated watching Wisconsin in the women’s volleyball final four. I’m guessing inappropriate behaviour will start soon.

Speaking of drinking, I see Dany Heatley scored.

  52. Niskanen seems intent on supplanting Dupes as the best “throw-in” on the Pens’ roster.

  53. Didn’t even know Matt Cooke was playing until right then. Kinda like the last 3 or so years.

  54. I am sorry for the comment I made above Place. I meant it in jest.

  55. Best Goal Horn In Hockey! Great Win! Must get rid of the fighting…just taints the win for me. Distasteful!
