  1. aaron says:

Here is hoping Scuderi’s post-game speech sinks in!

  2. aaron says:

Am I still in the minority in thinking the Pens are a better team with the younger defensemen playing disciplined team defense sans Letang?

Moving Letang for a top-3 forward to fill in dupuis’ spot has to be at least given some consideration, no?

  3. Brandie says:

I definitely think that should be on the table moving forward.

  4. Brandie says:

  5. Sarah says:

I’m on record saying exactly that.
Also that they never should have given Letang that contract.
And that the gaps are at W on the top two lines.
The bottom 6 would be shored up well enough with Dupuis and Jokinen.

  6. Sarah says:

Sounds like he made his speech to Yohe, not to the team behind closed doors. Hope there was some players-only discussion also.

  7. Brandie says:

Letang has talent, but is that really enough any more?

  8. DJ says:

Will be interesting to see how the team rebounds tonight . . . and who is in the line-up.

    Please, no Engelland.

  9. theplanisworking says:

Do we get the NHL Penguins tonight, or the Wheeling team like last night?

    Let’s Go REAL Pens!

    Oh, cut Adams. Please……..

  10. Let’s see the real 1-3-1.

  11. Brandie says:

    Do you mean FIRE ADAMS?!

  12. theplanisworking says:

    Evening, Reverend.

Hope you are glad that carpetbagger left your children’s alma mater down there. :)

  13. theplanisworking says:

    Yes Brandie, I do. :)

Congrats on your alma mater getting a new coach today. :0

  14. Brandie says:

I see nothing but potential drama. The whole thing has me feeling kind of meh.

  15. aaron says:

I missed the lineups watching the NFL game… Engelland in tonight?

  16. Bizrow says:

Pens are still doing pretty good

But agreed, you don’t raise the Stanley in January

That reminded me of a picture I have somewhere of Mike Lange and the Cup in the back of a school bus after they won the first Cup.

  17. theplanisworking says:

I guess apologies are in order then?

  18. Brandie says:

Just do not trust the powers that be to not screw this up somehow. Good luck Coach Franklin.

  19. theplanisworking says:

You just got your SCIRE!!! :)

  20. Brandie says:

  21. Brandie says:

  22. Brandie says:

Decent first period with the good guys up 1-0. I want to see responsible substitutions / line shifts by the Disco Kid. I also want to see responsible defends and no ill advised passes or Adams doing anything for the rest of this contest.

    That is all.

  23. Brandie says:

    Defense not defends.

  24. theplanisworking says:

At least you didn’t say depends………

  25. Brandie says:

    Good point Plan o War!

  26. Jandy must be stackin’ Z’s. Getting ready for church in the morn. ;)

  27. Dom says:

    pens win

  28. It seems as if Rod Scuderi’s speech sank in last night since the Pens did beat the Flames 2-1, and, hopefully, such will continue when the Pens face the Capitols at home on Wednesday night.

  29. You figured that Pitt would likely beat Wake Forest yesterday since Virginia had just beaten Wake Forest before that by 23 points, although Virginia also beat NC State easily enough yesterday as well.

  30. As for Arod, well, he definitely won’t go down without a fight, and, naturally, it’ll be a fight to the bitter end, and so…

  31. As for Arod, well, the Yankees will likely release him, and then, he’ll likely attempt a comeback with the Tampa Bay Rays, or so those in the know predict anyhow. And, naturally, he’ll continue to be in denial.
