Game will be televised by the YES Network for anyone that has access to it.

  2. JHadar says:

Oops meant to reply to YES network above not a new thread. Oh well, bad humor anyway.

  3. Brandie says:

    GO BUCS!

These games do count in hopefully crafting a competitive team. I can smell the peanuts and fresh cut grass here.

If we can get a league filled and folks choose to change the draft type to live or live auction, we can do it, trouble is scheduling a time where everyone can do it. Autodraft is you simply rank the players and when everyone has done that, the draft is held.

  5. Jim S. says:

All shown tonight on MLB Network at 8, for those that are working.

  6. Jim S. says:

I smell a “W” over the evil empire again today.

  7. theplanisworking says:

Darth Vader is pitching for the Yanks?

  8. Jim S. says:

No, he signed with the Phils. Didn’t you hear?

  9. Jim S. says:

Umm … I meant “also shown.”

  10. theplanisworking says:

    No, that was Darth Sidious.
    He’s older.

  11. Jandy says:

    haha Jim, priceless!!!

  12. 21sthebest says:

    We’re playing the Red Sox?

  13. Brandie says:

The Lord of the Sith does not pitch for the Yankees…The Yankees pitch for him!

  14. Baywatch says:

A dinger for Barmey and TWO MORE bombs for Tony Sanchez. Mark my words. Afternoon all, from the recently-Brandelita-Dubbed Baystacks Calhoun!

  15. Milo Hamilton says:

Jaff Decker – get a haircut. Sorry, had to channel my dad there for a minute.

  16. Jandy says:

    No! Remember Samson ;)

  17. Jandy says:

    Homer Polanco!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Milo Hamilton says:

Polanco deposits a hanger into the right field seats. 1-0 Buccos.

  19. 21sthebest says:

Neverett’s in mid season form. Thought it was going to be extra bases at most.

  20. What are the chances a guy named “Jaff” makes the 25-man?

  21. Milo Hamilton says:

Luckily, it’s’s free game of the day. I’m sneaking peeks & listening to Michael Kay.

  22. Jandy says:

    Hopefully, good!

  23. :D

Bob Prince would have a field day with that name. (He’s before your time, Jandecita)

  24. Jandy says:

Oh no he isn’t, Revvie. I remember Prince well…we should have MORE like him NOW. Loved the guy.

  25. Jandy says:

Ground Chuck walks Gardner and now Jeter is up.

  26. We’ve got Ground Chuck and El Coffee in the lineup. Too bad Lunch Box is hurt again. A nice meal-time lineup.

  27. Milo Hamilton says:

Pirates have taken 4 called 3rd strikes against stinky David Phelps. Mid season form.

  28. I did, too. You either loved him or hated him. I was on the positive side.

  29. Baywatch says:

  30. theplanisworking says:

So glad made me change my password, then rejected the newly created password. But this makes the teams revenue, so I guess it’s ok.

    GO BUCS !!!

  31. Milo Hamilton says:

2 scoreless innings for Charlie Morton.

  32. Baywatch says:

Ground CHUCK! Looking good! I had me some of that Ground TURKEY for lunch!

  33. Baywatch says:

    Get a HAIRCUT, Jaff!

  34. Milo Hamilton says:

Chris Leroux just got the Pirates out 1-2-3. Hope the Yankees aren’t fooled.

  35. Baywatch says:

My first seeing-Polanco at-bat (missed his home run). I WILL remember where I was!

  36. Jandy says:

    Jeff Locke pitching…and no mentor…

  37. Amen to the Nth degree.

  38. Jandy says:

    woah~ A strike out :)

  39. Milo Hamilton says:

1-2-3 3rd for Jeff Locke on only 7 pitches. The last out on a nice play by Barmes & fine scoop on a short hop by Lambo.

  40. Jim S. says:

If he doesn’t cut his hair, I’m going to keep calling him Jeff Dacker.

  41. Jim S. says:

    Ok, he’s good again!!

  42. Jandy says:

    So, were Lambo’s hands S.U.P.P.L.E ??

  43. Jim S. says:

    Una homer Polanco!!

  44. JohninOshkosh says:

    Big fan of Mr. Kay.

  45. JohninOshkosh says:

Get Dixon in as coach. His teams can work a shot clock and then panic. Need to teach the Buccos to work the count and then take the third strike.

  46. Jim S. says:

    We should extend him. :-)

  47. Jim S. says:

    Superbly supple, in fact.

  48. Jim S. says:

My kids are off school today. Had to text them and let them know Polanco homered. Never too early to get them overly excited about a kid that still has work to do in AAA, I always say. :-)

  49. Jim S. says:

And the predictable response from them …. Already watching via Apple TV and MLB App.

  50. Milo Hamilton says:

Locke is hardly recognizable. He got that haircut Decker needs.

  51. JohninOshkosh says:

The young ladies arn’t going to like it…..

  52. Arriba Wilver says:

When he was broadcasting you loved him or hated him. Once he was fired, it was like the 150,000 that were at Forbes Field for game 7 of the 1960 WS. Everybody loved him.

  53. Jandy says:

    not surprising LOL

  54. Jandy says:

nuttin wrong with long hair as long as it’s clean :)

  55. Jandy says:

nuttin wrong with long hair as long as it’s clean :)

  56. Milo Hamilton says:

Another nice play by Lambo corralling a wide throw by J-Hay. You know how these things work, he’ll play 1st base like Keith Hernandez and hit like Jackie Hernandez.

  57. Jim S. says:

No longer the Mary Carillo look, Milo? Was it you that said that last year? It was spot on when he had the long hair.

  58. Jim S. says:

Looking for a Tanger replacement, Jandy? Haha!

  59. Jandy says:

what? you want your cake and eat it, too?

  60. JohninOshkosh says:

You are already in mid season form, Milo. No need for any ST for you.

  61. Milo Hamilton says:

    Yep. Dead ringer. :)

  62. Arriba Wilver says:

  63. Baywatch says:

    +++ PLUS Hey, Milo!!

  64. Jandy says:

    LOL Jim, wrong sport ;)

  65. Jandy says:

besides, I have no idea what he looks like…

  66. Milo Hamilton says:

    Hey Bay !

  67. Baywatch says:

Thanks for the updates!! Out here on this East Texas county road taking my walk, blogging with my brother and sister bloggers! Who’da thunk it?

  68. Jandy says:

    Umm..just googled jaff Decker…no haircut needed ;)

  69. Jandy says:

Ugh! Cumpton pitching, Yanks tie it up.

  70. Milo Hamilton says:

Frank Coonelly in the stands at Steinbrenner Field. Hi Frank.

  71. theplanisworking says:

He is celebrating Ric Flair’s birthday.
Like he needs an excuse…. ;)

  72. Milo Hamilton says:

    Tied at 1 thru 5.

  73. theplanisworking says:

Get your 9 wides ready? ;)

  74. Jim S. says:

Lambo at the plate today … anything of note?

  75. Milo Hamilton says:

  76. Jandy says:

    line out, fly out.

  77. Milo Hamilton says:

Hit two balls hard but 0 for 2.

  78. Jandy says:

    Double for Decker

  79. theplanisworking says:

Dacker looks a little like Jack Black with long hair.

  80. theplanisworking says:

Apologies, I thought it was Dacker.
    It’s Decker.

    It’s ST….. i need to get in shape…….

  81. Milo Hamilton says:

Chris Dickerson Texas Leaguer scores Jaff, who had doubled, with the go ahead run.

  82. Milo Hamilton says:

Exactly, you were just confusing where to put the misplaced “a”.

  83. Jim S. says:

It’s because he might be the only Jaff in recorded history, but there’s 10,000,000 Jeffs in the world. That’s my excuse.

  84. Jim S. says:

I’m guessing that doesn’t put him in the Letang category, eh Jandy?

  85. Jim S. says:

  86. theplanisworking says:

    + a bunch.

  87. theplanisworking says:

    …………and 11,000,000 Jims.

    Excuses, excuses.

  88. Jandy says:

    I’m not sure I agree with Plan’s assessment…the pic I saw….does NOT look like Jack Black ;)

  89. Jim S. says:

    But, no Jams.

  90. Jandy says:

    jeez, he’s pitching another inning

  91. theplanisworking says:

    Like I said, it’s ST.
    Need to get in shape.

I guess shaped like a huge rugby ball is a shape…….

  92. theplanisworking says:

Wait, you mean all this time I thought you were Jimmy Jam………. and you’re not?

    Color me disappointed.

  93. Jandy says:

    Purple Disappointment

  94. theplanisworking says:

I think that’s the Wednesday night special at the bar………

  95. Baywatch says:

Hague and Cumpton, on the bus for minor league camp!

  96. Milo Hamilton says:

Yanks tie it in large part due to a 2 out E5 by The Hague. Pirates 2 Yankees 2.

  97. Jandy says:

Gotta go Loonies. Hair cut for me…enjoy the rest of the game.
    Cumpton UGH!

  98. Nate83 says:

    Take Jaff with you JJendy.

  99. Milo Hamilton says:

Yang pitches a scoreless 7th. Fastball consistently at 93.

  100. Baywatch says:

  101. Nate83 says:

Is he the left hander they are taking a close look at just incase they trade Wilson or Watson to fill a need?

  102. Jim S. says:

    Did Yin pitch the 6th?

  103. Jim S. says:

    Or, Daniel Schlereth.

  104. Jim S. says:

    Stink, Jr., that is.

  105. Jim S. says:

Excuse me, while I kiss the sky.

    Oh, never mind. Wrong song.

  106. Baywatch says:

The Bishop! McGuinness with a nice hit and run single to put Buccos on the corners with ZERO outs!

  107. Milo Hamilton says:

5-3 Buccos on a 3 run homer by Mel Rojas Jr..

  108. Milo Hamilton says:

    Son of Stink.

  109. pattonbb says:

Mel Rojas Jr says don’t call me Jr anymore!

  110. Baywatch says:

Forget Sr., MEL ROJAS JR! In the words of Ken Singleton, “That was SMOKED!”

  111. Baywatch says:

  112. Baywatch says:

    Jeff “Who The Heck?” Roy!

  113. Baywatch says:

    Clean ‘em up, TONY!

  114. Nate83 says:

Looked him up earlier today when I saw his name on the roster because I had never heard of him. 18th round pick last year. Nothing jumped out in his stats from last year except 23 SB in 53 games. Being an OF I have no idea why he is in camp. The Pirates are not lacking OF depth.

  115. Milo Hamilton says:

2 run single by The Hague, 7-2 Buccos.

  116. Baywatch says:

The Hit Man DELIVERETH! Now up to 11 hits off these STIFFS!

  117. NMR says:

    The original Alex Dickerson.

  118. The Gunner says:

Maybe this is the Hit Collector’s year to make the squad as a bench player. He never got much of a chance his last time around.

  119. Milo Hamilton says:

Scoreless 8th by the aforementioned Son of Stink.

  120. Milo Hamilton says:

    No chance.

  121. Nate83 says:

Remember the days when bloggers spent entire days kicking and screaming about Hague not being brought up to the majors. The teams come a long way.

  122. Milo Hamilton says:

Zelous Wheeler. If he ever makes it the headline writers will have a field day.

  123. Milo Hamilton says:

Final – Pirates 8 Yankees 2. You know what they say, you can’t win them all unless you win the first two.

  124. Nate83 says:

I’m not sure how many times that has been said about the Pirates over the last few decades.

  125. Nate83 says:

Very true. Maybe they should have traded Hague a couple of years ago to get something in return. Maybe that is why Dickerson was moved. NH is learning to recognize AAAA players.

  126. theplanisworking says:

If they keep winning like this, no one will go to their games.
    It will be too crowded.

  127. Baywatch says:

Be one of them there NICE PROBLEMS, PlanIs … May I just call you, Plan? :-)

  128. Jim S. says:

    Thanks, Yogi!

  129. Jim S. says:

Last night, I watched MLB tonight and when they got to the Pirates-Yankees highlights, there were 2 highlights shown: one was McCann’s RBI single and the other was the HR off Volquez by the guy with the really difficult name to pronounce who no one had heard of. When they were done, the analysts (Amsinger and Bill Ripken, plus someone else) laughed at the fact that the Pirates won yet the highlights were only good things the Yankees had done.

I have to assume tonight will be different.

  130. Jim S. says:

    Son of Stink is great.

  131. Jim S. says:

Let me clarify. Son of Stink is a great nickname.

  132. Arriba Wilver says:

I remember that well, Nate. And Milo’s right—no chance. Maybe hoping he does good so someone else will want him.

  133. Arriba Wilver says:

    No chance. ;-)

  134. Jim S. says:

It was so funny. Greg A. said something like, “Ok, so I guess even though the Pirates won, we won’t be seeing any Pirates highlights.”

A little awkward. At least, he stuck up for us. Usually, he only sticks up for the Cardinals since he’s a St. Louis guy.

  135. Jim S. says:

He has to be late 20’s now, right?

  136. Jim S. says:

His dad was a really good goalie.

  137. Jim S. says:

This was mentioned above. I think by Osh. Michael Kay is really good in the Yanks booth.

Now, John Sterling … and Susan. Not so much for me.

  138. Arriba Wilver says:

  139. theplanisworking says:

Yes Bay, you may call me anything clean.
Just don’t call me late for dinner.

  140. theplanisworking says:

    Thanks, Jim.
My joke didn’t fall totally flat.
