    LETS GO PENS

  15. Karen22 says:

    I WISH I were twenty-two! ;)
    Hi, Kids!

  16. I like that one, Brandanissimo.

  17. hockeymonster says:

So the dallas stars are bunch of messy lil kids that want to eat chocolate cake for breakfast and don’t want to brush their teeth at night? :)

  18. Brandie says:

And…who cannot go to sleep without a good beating!!!!!

  19. Brandie says:

    Hey Hey Revvie-lation! Thanks!

  20. Brandie says:

    Aside to Jandy…

If you do grace us with your presence and even if you don’t…

Thank you for the lovely compliment you paid me on the earlier thread. I have not had much to smile about lately, but, coming here makes me feel like I am part of something special, albeit a bit dysfunctional at times. If I can give a little bit to someone who is in need and get a laugh while learning something, so be it. Sistah…I freely give to you.

And that goes for each and everyone of you!

Ok now that the sappiness is out of the way…let’s go Pens!

  21. Brandie says:

Is that Dallas or a Dejan’s Lunatic Asylum blog selfie?

  22. theplanisworking says:

We Love You Brandie cakes, and you are the wind beneath out butts…….. errrr wings! Wings! I meant Wings !!! No hot sauce, Wings!

    Back to more torch-bearing………..

  23. Brandie says:

    Is that a blog selfie?

  24. theplanisworking says:

Depends on the day, and subject…….

  25. Rbilak says:

Don’t know what to expect from this team tonight.

I have lost confidence in HcDB. We see the same thing over and over. Undisciplined penalties, too many defensive lapses during poweplay, putting #5 on the point during a powerplay, team unprepared to play, Stars playing like 4th liners. Refusing to use your best roster and failing to recognize poor play. Kobesow, Pyatt, Adams, Scuderi, all deserve(d) benching. Failure to clear the net by Orpik and Scuderi, inexcuseable. When Neal and Letang come back, will they continue with poor penalties and misguided passes? I am not convinced it is all injuries. Does anyone feel Sid is dominant lately?

  26. Sarah says:

I’ve thought Sid has been non Sid like often this year. I worry he is tiring of Bylsma’s schtick.
But I am trying to remain positive…..

  27. Sarah says:

So…Vitale And Megna are benched….so that the worst player in the NHL gets to play 3rd line?
How do we remain positive here?

  28. You just called the esteemed Brandiskaya the equivalent of flatulence.

    Ornery hippo.

  29. hockeymonster says:

HAHAHA!!! Gotta good belly laugh out of that one…

  30. Purple Moose says:

Absolutely Sarah, how about giving Scuderi and Adams a break and a view from the press box. Neither one has played worth a darn lately so if you dont want to acknowledge that as a coach then just say that you are resting them for the playoffs.

Just maddening how half this team can suck with zero repercussions and the other half gets benched with the smallest of mistakes.

  31. Wild Bill says:

Motivation and compete level should be high tonight. A bad taste needs to be washed out.

  32. Sarah says:

Well we are definitely a GRinding team, per Disco , cos he’s sure doing his best to take the speed and skill out of the lineup.
    Wow. More great personnel decisions.

  33. theplanisworking says:

Sorry Reverend, but every time I think of the song “Beaches”, that lyric gets changed. Force of habit, I guess…………

  34. theplanisworking says:

But Sarah, its a sellout……… nevermind, it’s in Dallas.

  35. Wild Bill says:

    Sweet goal by Sid!

  36. theplanisworking says:

    Um, I don’t know what I was thinking……
doing way too many things on the computer at once……

  37. Pucknutz says:

    LETS GO PENS!

A little late gettin here, did see the replay on Sids goal … how the boys lookin?

  38. Wild Bill says:

    Hey, where’d everybody go?

  39. Wild Bill says:

    Pretty good so far, nutz.

  40. Sarah says:

    So far so good!!!

  41. theplanisworking says:

    I will be in sporadically…………..

New Castle game on tonight on the interwebs.
    Plus, I have a full plate, so………

    GO PENS !

  42. Wild Bill says:

    Until that deflection.

  43. Sarah says:

    Adams Orpik….never mind…

  44. Aaron says:

Does Adams have compromising pictures of Dan? What does Megna have to do to get some consistent PT?

Zatkoff gets the nod tonight…..should we read anything into that?

  45. Sarah says:

The line up is a joke. That’s what we should read. And I don’t mean Zatkoff.

  46. Sarah says:

    Despres looking good!
What’s the over/under how soon he gets sent back to WBS???

  47. Wild Bill says:

Now that’s more like it! Stempy creates the big turnover.

  48. Aaron says:

    Kuni!!!

  49. Aaron says:

    Great work, Stempy!!

  50. Aaron says:

    1st intermission

  51. Sarah says:

    KUNI!!
    TG for GRINDERS!!!!!

  52. Wild Bill says:

Clearly the Stars were watching the Flyers. They’re trying to get all over the d men down low and expecting our forwards won’t help out.

  53. Eric Bowser says:

Missed the first 3 minutes of the game… thankfully the parkway east wasn’t too bad.

Adams will play because Bylsma cannot scratch himself… that’s right, Craig Adams is Dan Bylsma. Mind blown yet?

Kunitz, Crosby and Stempniak have 7 of 12 shots for Pens. Didn’t really see much from Jokinen, Malkin, and Neal.

Dallas doesn’t play defense very well…..

  54. Sarah says:

Mind totally not blown and really what I’ve suspected for awhile….DB gravitates towards low talent, high effort pluggers like he was….hence the love affair with Adams.
    So depressing.

  55. Sam says:

second line doesn’t seem like it possesses the puck much lately.

  56. Aaron says:

I have absolutely zero talent…..I can’t even skate, but I would “like….try really hard’n'stuff”…..sign me!

That was not a dig on Adams’ intelligence, I know he is a Harvard guy.

  57. Brandie says:

Teams do have the blue print for how to squash the Pens Wild Bill Madlock!

  58. Wild Bill says:

Ah, one of my all time favorite hitters!

  59. Jandy says:

    <3 you Sistah!!

    Thanks for the smiles, always!

  60. Jandy says:

Sid seems to be coming around…now if he can score on a semi-breakaway! :)

  61. theplanisworking says:

    SCIRE??

    Good to see you.
maybe you are a good luck charm……….

  62. theplanisworking says:

I was called an ornery Hippo tonight, so I have to keep my distance…

  63. Jandy says:

    STEMPY!!!!!

  64. Wild Bill says:

    Top line looking really good!

  65. Jandy says:

ornery or horney??? and by whom?? lol

  66. Pucknutz says:

    3 – Stempy, Kuni and Sid….
Hmmm… this Stempy guy might just work out!

  67. Jandy says:

It’s nice to hear some positive vibes :)

Anyone think Zats is looking decent tonight?? That guy has the weirdest style for a goalie I ever saw, but hey, if it works…

  68. theplanisworking says:

    Ornery by the Reverend.

    Read above…….

  69. Eric Bowser says:

Great breakout, solid passing all around… outstanding movement with and without the puck on that goal.

  70. Jandy says:

Ha! that tickles my funny bone! :D

  71. Sarah says:

    Yay for grinding!

  72. Jandy says:

From the first line, yes :)

    How you feeling, Eric??

  73. theplanisworking says:

    It should. :)

  74. Pucknutz says:

Ya Saint, Zats is lookin good to me!
Crazy good with the glove….. Buccos might look at him for 1st base! LOL
Proly can’t hit a major league curve though ! :)

  75. Jandy says:

LOL Maybe he can walk instead ;)

  76. Brandie says:

I must say I like this Pens identity better than the passive play not to lose identity.

  77. Jandy says:

    indeed!

  78. Eric Bowser says:

Dying alive….. work is over the top right now. LOL

And apparently, when I do visit… this blog doesn’t like Google Chrome and I refuse to use Internet Explorer…. so slow loading = little viewing.

  79. hockeymonster says:

Eric, I stumbled onto formulaic gold!

  80. hockeymonster says:

I still don’t understand how disco benches Engo for despres. What’s he thinking??? :)

  81. theplanisworking says:

    Firefox Eric………..

  82. Jandy says:

My Firefox does well with this blog, Eric…try it

  83. DJ says:

Caught second half of the 2nd period.

Mentioned this recently but would love to see Malkin take the play to the center of the ice. It’s like the point guard in basketball. Control the center of the floor (or ice) and you give yourself more options and angles.

Malkin is like a centipede running along the baseboard of your basement. He clings to the boards on every O-zone rush.

  84. Eric Bowser says:

Guess I spoke too early, wife just sent me text… she has plantar fascitis….

    will I ever win?!?

  85. There was on old kids’ game called Hungry, Hungry Hippos. We just changed it a little to Ornery, ___ney Hippos.

Ministers shouldn’t use the middle word, but it’s Jandy’s descriptor.

  86. How’s New Castle doing, Planetoid?

  87. theplanisworking says:

    REVEREND !!!

  88. theplanisworking says:

    Sorry to hear this…….

well wishes to you and the Mrs.

  89. DJ says:

I give him a lot of credit, Jandhi. Those first two games were brutal. Like a flounder just yanked into the boat.

Flopping, flipping and even the occasional “ice angel” on his back.

  90. Jandy says:

    warts????

  91. theplanisworking says:

Winning 47-40, 4 minutes to go.

  92. Jandy says:

Oh I sure do too, DJ. But like I said, his style is uhh…unique :)

  93. Brandie says:

Revvie…that is one mother of a digression. The blog certainly has an adult beverage vibe tonight.

  94. Brandie says:

    Rock on Plancey Thigpen.

  95. Jandy says:

    Horny…huh…hippos have horns ;)

  96. theplanisworking says:

    Plan Morris. :)

  97. Robert Morris was upsetting St. John’s in the NIT Tournament 89-78 in round 1 while the Pens were trying to emerge from their post Olympics slump tonight versus Dallas at the Consol Center. Actually, the Colonials were leading by 25 at one point during the first half and they managed to fend off St. John’s in the second half with Lucky Jones and Karvel Anderson providing most of the offense.

  98. Brandie says:

Accurate descriptor DJ. I just wish he would return to the form he had 2 years ago…take control and SCORE!!! I think Geno gets inside his own head too much. It is okay to be talented and use that talent and hard work to achieve your goals. Besides I sm missing that sh!t eating little kid grin he gets on his face when he scores. That is pure joy and that is something we could all use a little more of.

  99. theplanisworking says:

    Go Bobby Mo !!!

  100. Brandie says:

Karvel…like the ice cream but spelled with a k? Mmmm. Carvel ice cream.

  101. DJ says:

No question he marches to a different beat.

The Charlie Morton of the Pens.

  102. Eric Bowser says:

Ha, I wish it was that simple.

Here’s the funny thing about this, she twisted her ankle last week and fell… so her ankle was swollen and start to get numb the last two days, so she went there and they said yeah you have that twisted ankle but you have plantar fasciitis pretty bad, on top of heel spurs, that she’s had for a long time.

  103. Brandie says:

My mom does too. You have my sympathies.

  104. Jandy says:

    Zats thinks he’s Tuuka Rask

  105. DJ says:

Andy Toole is a very underrated coach.

  106. DJ says:

    Tuuka Zats.

    His new nickname.

  107. theplanisworking says:

    +++++++++

  108. DJ says:

Catch a puck to the head in practice?

  109. Jandy says:

    Good job, DJ :)

  110. Brandie says:

That’s Standin’ on Yer Head Man!

  111. DJ says:

1/2 credit to the woman living in that funky garage.

  112. Brandie says:

Give this man an enthusiastic round of applause!

  113. Jandy says:

Zats is truly inspired this evening

  114. theplanisworking says:

Pens winning, New Castle, well this pic should say it all…….. going to the championship game !

    https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/t1.0-9/p180x540/1926880_10201819899319417_1857098923_n.jpg

  115. Jandy says:

    Just wow

  116. Brandie says:

Zats Domino has found his thrill!

  117. Jandy says:

    Hell yeah!!

  118. hockeymonster says:

    Sutter needed a Russian curler….

  119. Jandy says:

    blonde or brunette?

  120. Brandie says:

    Or a Russian Cuddler!

  121. Jandy says:

    He** he found *MY* thrill!!

  122. Jandy says:

    Oh Poop

  123. theplanisworking says:

In the garage on the Hill………… :)

  124. theplanisworking says:

This ^^^ is why I come onto this blog………….. :)

  125. Jandy says:

    errr nevermind lol

  126. Jandy says:

    dayum straight!

  127. Jandy says:

    LOL!

  128. Shame they couldn’t beat Mt. St. Mary’s, who has already bowed out in the play-in game.

  129. Brandie says:

Persons were calling for Sidney Crosby to make his presence known earlier today. Well…ask and you shall receive.

  130. Jandy says:

Next game will be Malkin’s turn

  131. Brandie says:

Great win for the high flying Pens. I may actually watch the highlights tomorrow.

  132. Brandie says:

The Soviet Salamis needs to get his swagger back!

  133. theplanisworking says:

    On your inter-planetary space modulator??

  134. hockeymonster says:

    Yes and yes

  135. hockeymonster says:

Does that modulator have plane abduction capabilities?

  136. DJ says:

    Agreed, Brands.

  137. Brandie says:

    A Marvin Martian Blast!

    Thanks Planford Dixon!

  138. theplanisworking says:

No, HM, but it probably has Plan abduction capabilities….

  139. Brandie says:

He calls me Brands! I like it!
