Jokinen-Malkin-Neal = Fedotenko-Malkin-Sykora 2.0. No knock on Jokinen, but those are lines built for the regular season. The playoffs are about sandpaper, and the Malkin line has none? Could Joe Vitale be Talbot 2.0, the guy who does the dirty work and let’s Geno play HIS game. Malkin is galloping, Jokinen has two goals, but that line isn’t dictating, controlling play, or sustaining offensive zone shifts. Could history repeat itself for Geno and the Pens if given the chance? Would this coaching staff have the courage to try it or are they too arrogant to remember the unconventional lessons of the past? Thoughts?
My thought is that you should enter that question in the chat box above.
