I still say Pens in 5

  2. Pucknutz says:

    LETS GO PENS!

    That is all

  3. BillyBaduka says:

    LET’S GO PENS!!!!

  4. Milo Hamilton says:

Breathlessly awaiting reports from Manhattan on how Sidney Crosby looks. To me, he looks like a guy that can’t score a goal.

  5. theplanisworking says:

    LETS GO PENS!!

    SHOOT DEE PUCK!
    SCIRE!
    DON’T PLAY SOFFFF!

Oh, yeah, APB for Sid’s goal scoring.
    May he not be injured.

  6. JohninOshkosh says:

Learned today that that not only does “nobody walks in LA” (Missing Persons), but that nobody jaywalks in Manhattan.

  7. Mats says:

    Buffalo, NY!

  8. Brandie says:

    A hearty Lunatic Welcome.

  9. Karen22 says:

Another Pirates/Pens doubleheader. Let’s take TWO!

    :)

  10. I hope Sidney Crosby has 0 goals again tonight . . . . . and 4 assists!

  11. JohninOshkosh says:

Hallelujah! It’s the great KT and no Milbury!

    Watchable TV!

  12. JohninOshkosh says:

Groat, the NBA first round was sensational! Sore remote thumb jumping between three sports and, on Sundays, Mad Men and Game of Thrones!

  13. Carlos Danger says:

If we could play the rest of the playoffs like we played last night, we could compete with anyone. I realize that is a big “if”, but I hope we at least play that way again tonight and develop some consistency. GO PENS!

  14. Phil the Groundhog says:

I’m not worried about Crosby not scoring goals, as long as he keeps racking up the assists and others are scoring. I used to tell the kids I coached in soccer (sorry, I don’t think I’m supposed to mention that sport) that a shot on goal is a shot on goal, but an assist means that we scored. Took a while for the kids to learn that.

Meantime, Let’s go Pens! Can’t wait to see the magic begin.

  15. Carlos Danger says:

    Random red couch! Boom!

  16. Florida Steeler says:

    Typical start–which team is tired??

  17. Florida Steeler says:

    Goc–you idiot!!!

  18. Andrew says:

Were the announcers talking about the ice being good? I don’t think so it is ten minutes into the 1st period and it looks like they are playing outside.

  19. hockeymonster says:

F2 and F3 recognition hasn’t been great. Giving up too much of the middle of ice. Forwards need to come back instead of being at standstill by the dots. Not enough speed and numbers thru NZ. We’re trying to carry it across too much. Chip it in, forecheck, cycle and get traffic in front. PM and tanger looking sharp.

  20. Milo Hamilton says:

    These end up costing you.

  21. Brandie says:

In other words, play the game that works!!!

    Good evening Monster!

    DANG IT NEAL!!!

  22. Pucknutz says:

Well…at least Neals 4 min gets split up between periods.

  23. Jandy says:

    +++++

  24. Jandy says:

Milo, be careful not to turn blue~!~!

  25. Jandy says:

    Welcome Mats, join in! :)

  26. Jandy says:

    Yes, indeed :)

  27. Jandy says:

I’ll drink to that, Groat! 4 assists would be great :)

  28. Jandy says:

    Good stuff, Phil :)

  29. Jandy says:

Yeah…a blessing…but still…and that kid…man, he looked like he was dying out there. Oh yeah, he’s TIRED!

  30. hockeymonster says:

Good evening Princess Brandiskaya. And you are correct.

  31. Andrew says:

    I think he lost teeth.

  32. NormL says:

The 4-41 pairing was rather brutal in the first period. Huge PK here!

  33. Milo Hamilton says:

Check out DK’s twitter. Rangers obviously targeting Crosby’s head. Classy Marc Staal, real classy.

  34. Brandie says:

Jandy…are you ready to go thwappin’ one RDJN with your size 9 Wides?

Also…keep hearing about the good work of Craig Adams. Must be in a liquid rubbery universe.

  35. Brandie says:

    Where’s Sham-a-han to legislate this?

  36. Brandie says:

Marc-Andre McFleury…As cool as the other side of the pillow!!!

  37. Gene-Zo says:

    That’ll teach the head-hunting bastards!!

  38. Brandie says:

    SID!!!!!!!!!!!

  39. Jandy says:

    The drought is OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  40. Milo Hamilton says:

May the floodgates be open. The 5 hole sure was.

  41. Pucknutz says:

Real nice Pk… and then……. SID!!!!!! at last !!!!!

  42. Jandy says:

    Hell yeah!

  43. Pucknutz says:

    ;)

  44. Brandie says:

    You tell ‘em Gene-zo!

  45. Jandy says:

    Friggin P*ssy!

  46. Jandy says:

    Primed and ready Sistah! ;)

  47. Jandy says:

Happens all the time, Andrew. Duper handed h is to the trainer and went out next shift. Didn’t lay on the ice like that…

  48. Andrew says:

What a stretch pass by the 7th D-man.

  49. Pucknutz says:

LOL Wow you are hard a$$ — put dem teeth on the shelf and play on !!! :)

  50. Jandy says:

    YES!

  51. Milo Hamilton says:

Flower giving the crossbar some love.

  52. Jandy says:

I don’t make the money those guys make, I expect passion in the playoffs!!!

  53. Sidney just scored his first goal in 14 attempts, his first since March 31, if you can believe that, and the Pens now lead 1-0. And now, we’ll see if that holds up since the responding Rangers’ attempt was just disallowed.

  54. Jandy says:

He doesn’t want it to feel jilted ;)

  55. Pucknutz says:

Goalies are kinkey that way ! LOL

  56. Jandy says:

He can be kinky any way he wants to as long as he wins! :D

  57. Pucknutz says:

Careful… we don’t need no more sex scandels !!!

  58. Jandy says:

    isn’t that the truth?!

  59. Brandie says:

    Jussi…Why?

  60. Jandy says:

    Dang it Jussi!

  61. Andrew says:

    Finn on Swed.

  62. Jandy says:

Juicy Jussi makes up for it!!

  63. hockeymonster says:

    What a great stretch pass.

  64. Lad 9 says:

Bad luck! Regis McGuire just called that goal bad luck for the Rangers! He is amazingly bad behind the mic.

  65. Jandy says:

    indeed

  66. Jokkinen has just scored goal 2 for the Pens. See if that holds up.

  67. Brandie says:

Hasn’t been the same without Kathie Lee. ;) (Snark Alert)

  68. Jandy says:

    :snicker:

  69. Florida Steeler says:

The old saying–rather be lucky than good.

  70. Eric Bowser says:

Anyone that isn’t an intense hockey fanatic like me and wants to learn the game, please do yourself a favor and watch Pens forward Jussi Jokinen. He’s playing some kind of hockey without the puck.

  71. Arriba Wilver says:

    +++

  72. Florida Steeler says:

They need to re-sign him real fast.

  73. Lad 9 says:

    But it was good snark.

  74. Jandy says:

+++ in spite of the dumb penalty.

  75. Arriba Wilver says:

Looks like a slugfest. And the Giants’ bullpen is supposed to be tough.

  76. Jandy says:

What else would you expect from our Brandecita? ;)

  77. Arriba Wilver says:

Morris getting crushed, a run saved by Cutch.

  78. TheHammer says:

Happy for the two goal lead but we need to stop this pressure. Ice is very one sided right now

  79. Arriba Wilver says:

    Sorry, wrong thread.

    Color me embarrassed. ;-)

  80. Jandy says:

It’s all good, AW….anyhoo, what color is that?

  81. hockeymonster says:

That fleury guy may need to get ink to paper too.

  82. Jandy says:

It’s so nice to see him in this groove…

  83. Arriba Wilver says:

    Don’t know the emoticon. :-)

    But I think it’s pink. :-)

  84. Jandy says:

I have been set straight ;)

  85. Lad 9 says:

    True dat! :)

  86. Dom says:

We all know who the player of the game thus far…

  87. Pucknutz says:

Keep the pressure on Pens… no darn “prevent defense” till the last few min.

  88. Eric Bowser says:

    Safe is death.

  89. Pucknutz says:

    Hot damn… we agree Eric… LOL :)

  90. Pucknutz says:

    Hot damn… we agree Eric… LOL :)

  91. Pucknutz says:

Phantom dbl post… I must have learned some fancy keystrokes!

  92. Eric Bowser says:

LOL… about the only thing I’ll agree w/ John Tortorella.

  93. Sarah says:

    Arriving late Peeps!
Any penalty for the Staal hits?

  94. Jandy says:

    Paul Martin has cajones!!!

  95. Florida Steeler says:

Are the Pens playing the old four corner basketball stall?? Don’t like it–no shots in period.

  96. Eric Bowser says:

    None.

Just 1 PP for Pens and let’s just say… narrative should be over about Pens getting all the calls.

  97. hockeymonster says:

    Sharp play there by PM.

  98. Gene-Zo says:

Don’t like this rope-a-dope one bit. Rangers living in the Pens offensive zone. Too many poor clearing attempts and NZ turnovers.

  99. Pucknutz says:

Can’t help myself… shame on me but you spelled that wrong… its nutz. :)

  100. Andrew says:

Jacques Martin hockey, defend and attempt to get offense on rushes.

  101. Jandy says:

    LOL! :P

  102. Dom says:

    Rangers on the power play.

  103. Jandy says:

2 man advantage for the last 2 minutes….pulled Henrik

  104. Andrew says:

    That is a soft penalty.

  105. Pucknutz says:

Cheap call… I dint see nuttin!

  106. Dom says:

    Pens win! Shutout for Fleury!

  107. Jandy says:

WOOP WOOP! Another shut out for Flower!!!!

  108. Eric Bowser says:

    Fleury was great!

    Back to back shutouts!

  109. Milo Hamilton says:

The Rangers couldn’t score in Times Square with a fist full of fifties.

  110. Barb says:

The flower is blooming at just the right time!

  111. Wild Bill says:

Pens put the puck in the Freeeezzzzzer in the third.

  112. Jandy says:

    He’s in full bloom!

  113. Wild Bill says:

    Score what, Milo??

  114. Pucknutz says:

    FLOWER POWER!!!
Good game… keep it up Pens!

  115. cobra39 says:

Great win, but … making Rangers play 5 games in 7 nights is a disgrace.

Bettman = Goodell. Anything for TV, and may the game be damned.

  116. Lad 9 says:

    MAF!!!

  117. radio wave says:

It is spring, and the flower is blooming. Two bagels, a NY thing.

  118. Wild Bill says:

If I saw this right, Cobra, some of the problem was the Madison Square Garden being booked a bunch of nights already.

  119. Jandy says:

    That’s your man, Dom :)

  120. Barb says:

Basketball game on Thursday and Billy Joel concert on Friday at MSG.

  121. Jandy says:

    LOL!

  122. Jandy says:

Good night Loonies! Sweet dreams tonight :)

  123. cobra39 says:

    Did not know that. Interesting.

  124. Wild Bill says:

Got home with us up 2 – 0 and was all set to blog, but was afraid of jinxing us. Had to jump on now.

  125. cobra39 says:

Didn’t know that. Maybe NY / MSG heve only themselves to blame ….

  126. The Pens win with Sidney getting the ball rolling in the second period and that was good to see. And now, hopefully, the Pens will win the decisive game tomorrow night, and they’ll then get another outstanding effort from M. A. Fleury as well.

  127. Wild Bill says:

    Love it, James.

  128. radio wave says:

Game 4 wednesday. We need 1 day off.

  129. Dom says:

And people were concerned how Fleury would play in the postseason.

  130. Arriba Wilver says:

Fleury must be worried about Bylsma’s job.

  131. Dom says:

If the pens get past the rangers, bylsma’s job is safe, right?

  132. Arriba Wilver says:

You’re cruel to some people, Dom. And I always thought you were a nice guy.

    ;-)

  133. scapper says:

Keep hope alive! Pens can still lose the series and you’ll get your wish. Oh, happy day.

  134. Arriba Wilver says:

    Who is “you” Scap?

Or are you severely sarcasm challenged?

  135. chethejet1 says:

I am hoping Martin is neutralizing Bylsma. Seems he has much more say and that is a good thing compared to Bylsma. I am all for Bylsma being in the booth.

  136. theplanisworking says:

It was, and always will be a true, and valid concern.
