Much praise has been heaped upon Montour’s passing game, but running back Julian Durden is showing the Spartans also have a pretty good ground game.
The junior transfer from North Catholic has rushed for 155 yards and scored three touchdowns during the first 15 minutes of tonight’s game against Chartiers Valley. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Durden has touchdown runs of 5, 55 and 50 yards for Montour, which leads, 28-7, early in the second quarter.
Durden rushed for 954 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore at North Catholic.
