Burrell hires wrestling coach

Five-time defending WPIAL wrestling champion Burrell has a new head coach.
Burrell tonight hired Dr. Bernard “Bud” Sines by an 8-0 vote.
Sines, 56, who lives in Murrysville, replaces Ryan Yates, who resigned in March. Sines coached Brookfield East High School in Wisconsin for nine years and won seven conference titles while also producing 14 state medalists.
Sines, who is from St. Louis, wrestled at the University of Iowa, where he walked on.
He is a retired prison dentist.
Burrell has won seven WPIAL titles in Class AA and the five straight is a league record.
