Twenty-six senior players from the WPIAL have been selected to play in the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association East-West all-star game, to be contested May 5 at Downington High School.
WPIAL representatives include quarterbacks Thomas Woodson (Gateway) and Jordan Brown (Seneca Valley); running backs Dante Marsick (Rochester) and Cole Chiappialle (Blackhawk); wide receivers Gregg Garritty (North Allegheny), Terrish Webb (Clairton) and Zach Schademan (Thomas Jefferson); tight ends Kevin Edwards (North Allegheny) and Jaymar Parrish (Gateway); offensive linemen Jordan Miller (Beaver Falls), Austin Bitzer (Mars), Jackson Mettus (Mars) and Nick Pettigrew (Beaver Falls); defensive linemen Ryan Bednar (South Allegheny) and Nick Dahlstrom (Seneca Valley); defensive end Jeremy Gonzales (North Allegheny); linebackers Leo Loughery (Central Catholic), Garrett Vulcano (Chartiers-Houston), Mileak Ford (Gateway), Connor Biggs (Mars) and Ryan McCauley (Seneca Valley); and defensive backs Tom Greene (Woodland Hills), Brendan Coniker (North Allegheny), Derrick Fulmore (West Mifflin), Brendan Edwards (Imani Christian) and Zach Guiser (Greensburg Central Catholic).
The rest of the West team includes wide receiver Trey Jordan (Clearfield); offensive linemen Aaron Reese (Chambersburg), Matt Barton (Hollidaysburg) and Cary Hess (Shippensburg); kicker John Chereson (Cathedral Prep); defensive ends Eric Swanson (Cathedral Prep) and Jeremy Salmon (Cumberland Valley); and defensive back Andrew Dadeboe (Central York).
