WPIAL track and field athletes earn top seeds for PIAA meet


The PIAA track and field championships will be held Friday and Saturday at Shippensburg University. Dozens of WPIAL athletes will be competing, including several who are the top-seeded competitors in their events.
Below is a look at the WPIAL athletes who are No. 1 seeds:
Class AA
300-meter hurdles
Tyler Murphy, Riverview, 38.89
200 meter
Vincent Moody, Clairton, 22.33
Class AAA
400 relay (Julius Rivera, Jae’Len, Means, Jaquan Jones, Michael White, Cameron Gray, Montae Nicholson), Gateway, 41.89
Long jump
Isaiah Brooks, Woodland Hills, 23-08

Class AA
200 meter
Ally Bartoszewicz, Vincentian, 24.93
Shot put
Kailyn Clancy, California, 43 feet
Jenna Lucas, Fort Cherry, 145-8
Class AAA
1,600 meter
Brianna Schwartz, Shaler, 4:47.07
