Schwartz finished the race in 18:07 as a junior, ahead of second-place Mary Malone (18:20), a senior from North Hills.
Mt. Lebanon senior Jillian Hunsberger (fourth, 18:30) and Hampton senior Gina Alm (fifth, 18:40) will again compete for the title.
Rounding out the top 10 from last year are Villa Maria sophomore Bernadette Prichard, who was seventh in 18:51; West Allegheny junior Alexis O’Shea, who was eighth in 18:55; and Mt. Lebanon’s Audrey Gordon, who placed 10th with a time of 19:04.
