North Catholic football coach Bob Ravenstahl said Trojans tailback junior P.J. Fulmore is “day-to-day” heading into Friday’s game at Northgate.
Fulmore suffered what Ravenstahl called a “lower-body injury” in the first half of the Trojans’ 22-21, two-overtime win over Apollo-Ridge in Week 1.
He missed last week’s 35-3 rout of Springdale.
“We’re getting (to be) like the Penguins and the Steelers, you know what I mean?’ ” Ravenstahl said.
According to Ravenstahl, North Catholic didn’t take the field today, but Fulmore did do some rehab work.
“He worked hard today,” Ravenstahl said. “He was doing some rehab and some different things in the weight room. If it was up to him, he’d be playing today, but there are trainers watching him. When they say it’s time for him to go, he’ll be ready to go. When that is, I don’t know.”
Fulmore rushed for 1,824 yards and 24 touchdowns last season.
