Pitt’s football game against Connecticut Sept. 22 at Heinz Field is scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff, the Pitt athletic department announced today.
Although there is a possibility the game will be televised, the start time will not be affected by television coverage. The game is the Big East Conference opener for the Panthers, who open their season against Eastern Michigan at 6 p.m. Saturday at Heinz Field.
Pitt previously announced that its Sept. 8 game against Grambling has a noon kickoff and its Oct. 10 game against Navy, which will be nationally televised on ESPN, is slated for an 8 p.m. start.
Game times for Pitt’s remaining home games — Cincinnati on Oct. 20, Syracuse on Nov. 3 and South Florida on Nov. 24 — have yet to be determined.
