Bostick starts at QB for Pitt

November 24th, 2007

Pat Bostick, benched for the second half at Rutgers last week, started at quarterback for Pitt today in the Panthers’ home finale against South Florida.

It was the seventh consecutive start for Bostick, a freshman from Lancaster who has passed for 1,135 yards with six touchdowns and eight interceptions this season.

Bostick was replaced in the second half at Rutgers by redshirt freshman Kevan Smith, who sustained a shoulder injury on his right (throwing) arm. Pitt coach Dave Wannstedt did not name a starter for the USF game, waiting instead to make a game-time decision.
