Dublin (Ohio) Coffman quarterback Zack Stoudt confirmed today that he is backing out of a verbal commitment to Pitt and instead intends to sign with Louisville.
Tomorrow is the first day prospects can sign a binding national letter of intent with their college choice. Verbal commitments are non-binding.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Stoudt, the son of former Steelers quarterback Cliff Stoudt, is a pro-style passer who threw for 3,547 yards and 34 touchdowns this past season.
Pitt has two quarterback recruits in the Class of 2008. Greg Cross, a junior-college transfer, already is enrolled. Central Catholic’s Tino Sunseri switched his commitment from Louisville to Pitt in early December.
